Also, I noticed that the backing track BigHit uses is somewhat unconventional. They don't literally put all the vocals on the backing vocals but just the ending phrases and the high notes where it is impossible to sing because of the choreo.

Their live vocals are so good, but yes obviously there is a backing track and it’s totally normal. Like you said it’s always used especially in kpop performances since there are parts that just cannot be sung with the moves they do and it’s also a security in case the Idol is a bit less stable on certain parts of the song

You just were concentrating on the word 'scraggly which isn't a commonly used word in everyday conversation. According to Wikipedia, backing tracks enable singers and bands to add parts to their music that would be impracticable or impossible to perform live, such as a string section or choir parts recorded in a studio. I don't have any problem if TxT uses backing tracks since they are known for singing live and not lip-synching. TxT, we love your right back.
