Bamboo and Tapioca are easily renewed fast growing resources. Bamboo forests regenerate very quickly and are perfect for biodegradable packaging and products.
People, stop complaining because they use plastic... yes its not perfect but they are doing so much more than most organizations!! And so much more than most of us
How much is really bamboo and what are the other ingredients. Your "healthy" almond milk is 2% almond and made with guar gum that dries like cement and it has nano sized titanium dioxide among other toxic ingredients. The health gurus used to sell it as the best health alternative.
PullipKisses Speak for yourself, I wouldn’t buy these ‘cup’ things cos of the single use plastic packaging, it’s not like these items are necessary to live! This is just a commercia enterprise using an unnecessary biodegradable product to fill our world with more bloody single use plastic, why couldn’t they just put them in Cardboard boxes instead!.
Kariina Kuningas we need to understand that plastic is as indispensable to mankind as it is harmful to environment, and that we must know how to reduce it's use or use it properly. So in this case I think they are being responsible people by reducing the use.
I think its a great idea even if its packaged in plastic at least the biggest part of product is helping the environment more than anyone else is doing
Great! I remember seeing those in Thai supermarkets, hoping it wasn't plastic. Coconut water was packed in them. So GOOD to know it's easily biodegradable all-natural material!! Way to go! It's good to see Thailand pioneering these efforts. Nearby Indonesia has terrible pollution, so hopefully Indonesia will wakeup and stop polluting Earth so much, too. Of course same can be said for Malaysia and many other countries, but especially Asia and possibly South America. Every country needs to do MUCH more effort.
Or reuse stuff.. Thailand excel in this too. South Asia & Southeast Asia country use a lot of coconut result in a lot of coconut husk and Thailand actually make it into charcoal (I know most would say charcoal = fossil fuel = pollution but since we couldn't really stop it for now, we might as well think of how to manage it properly).
This absolutely amazing. For someone like me who loves nature and see the impact modernization is have on the ecosystem of my country, seeing impact like this and what you guys are doing to make the world a better place makes me proud. I would like to work with you guys.
Clearly, the comment section is not appreciative of small steps. Havent you heard of the saying, "One step at a time" ? Yes, they are still using plastic but compared to the whole product being plastic, it's a big leap into sustainable living. Y'all complaining when you're in your room lying down and doing nothing for the environment.
hahaha. true.. No matter what, we gonna need something to hold/pack our food anyway. I think something that can decompose fast is better than something that don't decompose or it take "forever" to decompose.
@@svetlanikolova7673 but replacing plastic with paper is not a good solution. Because to make paper trees are cut. So in both cases there is an environmental impact at some point in their life cycle. So the best thing is finding a balance of the consumption of both of these and more importantly the waste management and recycling. Proper waste management is the best solution.
I bought a coconut water and that was (can) in that type of packaging (like in thumbnail) and I tried to eat it and it tasted like a corn flips and I think it is actually edible even if they dont claim that
That means more purchase of bamboo for countries that don't have it, and since it'll need to be exported around the globe, it's more bamboo chopping although bamboo is the fastest growing plant.
Woowww wooowwww soo when i saw this video this word came from my mouth but we can't leave plastic completely like u were covering those utensils qith plastic covers too we need more innovations and im really inspired by u reqlly great;-)
I think if you wanted the product to last even longer but still degrade a surface wax could be employed making it useable for plant pots, drinking glasses, in honeycomb configuration and two sheets of paper would make boxes or wall building material paint making it waterproof of interior wall panels.
You’re right in away. However Im pretty sure they would be planting and harvesting their own crops. I’m pretty sure you should do your research on how long it takes to grow bamboo. Some species do not take very long at all Good luck on your research
the product and the innovation is amazing. the idea behind the company is also unique. but what's the point of having such an idea when the packaging of a bio degradable product is done is plastic? Quite ironical!!!
They absolutely dump the most in the ocean. But they don't produce it if that's what you're getting at. Americans pay them to take it and recycle it, but they'll take the money and dump it in the ocean.
It’s very impressive...can I open this types of industry in our country st we need bamboo bottles, can you please help me ...how it’s works or what machines recommend....
this is amazing. i want to contribute so much but don't know how unless just in a small, individual way. the world is collapsing and i feel so helpless
You can buy a menstrual cup! They last for many years and you can wear them longer than pads. And instead of throwing it away you can wash it out and reuse it. They also make cloth pads that you can wash and re-use. You can save a lot of money and plastic this way and it is better for your body since many pads use dangerous chemicals.
Because they said in the video that the material bio degrades in water in one week so they need plastic to stop water getting to the product before use... even though they are using plastic it's still a huge reduction in the use of plastic as a whole product :-)
there's a quote to your opinion but i forgot it. it goes somwthing like this, like sacrifice a little something for the greater purpose or fo the greater good idk. but do you see what I mean?
Marcus Lobenstein well considering I'm sixteen years old there isn't much I can do in the way of manufacturing biodegradable resources. I've got time on my side but money is a big problem, since my parents won't let me work until I graduate. Either way, I bet I know more about what affects the environment than you do, cause I've spend the last three years of my high school life studying environmental sciences, taking college level chemistry and many other classes. I've written letters to my local government to use sustainable palm oil sources, reuse plastics and papers more efficiently, and how to do so cost effectively. Before you call someone out on the internet think a little. I'm sure even your small brain can do that.

Love how innovation is questioned not by how it is made but why it is covered in plastic wrap.
People, stop complaining because they use plastic... yes its not perfect but they are doing so much more than most organizations!! And so much more than most of us
exactly!!
PullipKisses 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
without the plastic they could be damaged easily anyway! im sure that they're conscious enough to use recyclable plastics anyway

Idea is very good, but why are they still packaging packag with plastik?
Kariina Kuningas it might be a bio-plastic made of something like cornstarch which biodegrades
Kariina Kuningas we need to understand that plastic is as indispensable to mankind as it is harmful to environment, and that we must know how to reduce it's use or use it properly. So in this case I think they are being responsible people by reducing the use.
It plastic not ‘plastik’
once the biodegradable cornstarch is turned into plastic it is no longer biodegradable, its just marketing props.
its plastic not 'it'
This is one of the most brilliant ideas yet. Bless you on your journey to success
It is so cool.
I would love to be apart of an organization like this. These people are truly doing Gods work.

This is work that matters
That is for sure.

@@ElleLillian how is it off topic? You are beautiful yourself.
@@ChukwubuDike thank you so much!
So happy to see this. Best of luck for their amazing business
All of our takeout foods should be packaged in that.
Liuhuayue but with hemp instead.
Wow, this is just amazing. This is what is needed right now !
This is a great innovation. I hope more companies step in to get rid of plastic.
this is not innovation. This is Chinese lifestyle 3000 yrs ago
This is such an amazing solution ..loved it .all the very best
Love his way of thinking
This is so beautiful!
Awesome. Keep up the great work of zero waste.
It's a good start but it is clear that more R&D needs to be put in to eliminate plastic from their packaging.
Thank to the creative people on earth. You guys are amazing🙏❤️
They should've used paper packaging/wrap
This could be a great for the state of Texas as well for is native to over 100 species of bamboo.
i love this so much! we need more of this
Now that is what we need.
aldo edible silverware helps a lot
Much needed product... great innovation..

Awesome concept.
Is it good for containing hot materials / food? What is binding material used for holding bamboo particles?
Wow great idea & great innovation
I think this is great. I HOPE this tech will come to the US.
I love these guys!
This reminded me of “Mrs. Tapioca” from “The Worst Witch” LOLLL
You can partner that with those edible spoon and fork from india 😁
Interesting point.

Great idea, Great deal... What a great initiation...
It would be good to have packaging that can become biodegradable or organic to decompose.
Why plastic wrapping? :(
Yeah, they should switch to plastics that are made with plants and also biodegrade.
could be degradable plastic.
or just paper
I am going to buy one to see what it is made out of. Ill let you know when I find out
it's possible that it is cellophane
I have a pair of boxers made out of bamboo fiber and they feel like heaven.

HOW About NO PLASTIC AT ALL.??? Why not use recycled paper and food grade ink? if you want to be zero waste you need to.think of EVERYTHING !!!

This is a really great product & wise idea.
Great step in the right direction.
What about the single use plastic packaging used to wrap these items in?
Are packaging and labeling two different things? For the technical nit-pickers?
This is better than "How Dare You" type people.

I hope it would be sold in public markets... it would help small businesses.🙏🏻
Great! We need to make the future more better than the present.
What is the container wrapped in?
Our country produces a lot of this! Cassava/tapioca
So it's not enough that Pandas are almost extinct...now we take their only source of food too?!
Great job....
Fantastic 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Idea is very good👌
Plastic alternitive? what do you wrap it in? 😅
Could you use it as microwave dinner tray in stead of plastic..
This gives me hope for the world.
Did they just pack the material in plastic at 1:31 ?

Awesome idea, period.
this is genius
Dylan SeAN not really, would be smarter to use hemp. This just contributes to mass bamboo deforestation.

it's just cardboard made from a different wood.
Ugandan knuckles: DO U NU DA WAE?, UBPack director: 1:30 - sorry

What a great idea. Bamboo grows so fast and I hope it keeps up with demand.
Awesome! :)
Did they just use plastics to package it?
the product and the innovation is amazing. the idea behind the company is also unique. but what's the point of having such an idea when the packaging of a bio degradable product is done is plastic? Quite ironical!!!
"Asian nations contribute to the majority of plastic pollution." That is an incorrect and irresponsible statement by you
Exactly sir…
And it sounds a little racist to me
China is the biggest plastic polluter in the world and when they aggregate it continent wise, the statement becomes technically true

where can i get some and how much?!?!?!?!
in dublin in asian market they have this coconut water in a packaging like that
get a cardboard box, same thing but cheaper.
if you actually believe that then you seriously missed the entire purpose of this product.
Nice !
Why are they putting the metal canned coconut water in the bio container?
Brilliant Product

Even plastic is packed in plastic, so still relief.
Smart idea.
