Hello Friends! I just wanted to apologize for the clear lack of editing in this particular video... My editing software is currently not working. (A word of caution: Ever since I downloaded Stream Labs, so that I could live stream, I've been having technical issues on my channel... And I've heard from several others that they're having issues now as well.) But the mental glitches are all me. 😊

These Four Walls nope. The only advice I was given was to turn the bell icon off then back on again. If helped some people. She lost her account and that’s what YT suggested. It did seem to help. I’ve come back to accounts and had the bell turned off & others have said the same, but that was a few months back.
Definitely don’t get all of my reply’s to posts though. Sometimes I have to go back to comments to see replies. It’s crazy...

These Four Walls hey Jason! I’ve been wondering how you were doing! I chatted with George for a bit and had a couple other people pop up into live streams. I’m a little disappointed with myself because I’m not back at work really yet. I’ve done a little, but not like I could. I still feel like I’m gettting into the habit of being human again, so I’m trying not to be too rough on myself. But at the same time challenge myself. We have mothers days, 2 family bdays then Father’s Day coming up. So I got a mother’s day present for my mom and a card for my sister. It made me happy to have $ to buy things and foresight to order a couple things online even. The only thing is, I’ve forgotten every ache used to be hidden. Now it seems in full force. I still got out yesterday and ran my errands, but it’s like my list is cut in 1/2 and then I’m exhausted and I’m tired the next day. It’s 10:39 A.M. and I just woke up. Yesterday I was up at 7 or so, but everything still takes a lot out of me. We did go out of town last weekend with a friend for the first time because of an event by the house. That was fun.
That said, I made 6 weeks I think....my next goal is 50 days. I found an awesome saying about all the KeyTag colors for NA. It’s just a cute saying for each one. It matches up to my app, so I’m happy.
Sonia (from Nicole) and I are sharing books. I have the Big Book nicole is using and she has the NA 12 steps book, so we are sharing, scanning the first couple chapters and sharing them. It took 3 weeks at least to get the book in...
How are you doing? How’s this week going for you?

Thanks so much for this comment, my friend. You're absolutely right, we wouldn't know happiness without pain. Getting hooked on opiates was so easy... Getting off them was hard. (You're never more aware of each second passing, then when you're withdrawing) And living the sober life now falls somewhere in the middle. I had no balance before. Life, deep in my addiction, was misery 24/7. It wasn't even life. Now I can figure out what's next for me, and it's a nice feeling.

Hey Jason! I'm your 555th sub. Maybe you remember me from Jaunt's channel (I'm her internet wife lol, and also a mod on her channel, to make sure that her trolls are weeping in agony jk. There's one troll only :)
This was my first video of yours, that I was checking out and I like your soothing voice and everything you've said is on point. About that very, very thin raw sliced potato - I was pretty much surprised that you knew about that. It was an old, very "old school" of methodological use of "herbal remedies". And raw potato was prepared like that for kids with epilepsy, or any neurological disorder marked by sudden recurrent episodes of sensory disturbance, or convulsions, to ease up on their bodies. It's very good "trick" for RLLSindrome. That thing with something frozen, is also very smart, I hate how blood pressure goes up and down in a manner of second, switching body temperature like crazy, ugh.
I was never a fan of that comparison with flu, times I don't know how much, because that's simply NOT the case. With flu, you can sleep all the time and who cares. With that crap, you are very well aware of every single second of the day, AND the nights... ugh, FFS I don't wanna even start. For my first withdrawal, I was thinking that I'm losing my mind, I didn't even know what withdrawal was (I'm professional ballet dancer and my dr. hooked me up on opiates, after 3 surgeries, etc, you know the story). I'm going to watch the other of your videos now, I'm intrigued teheheh.
Oh, and I adore cats, your lady Luna(you know that means Moon, right?) just had to show up to tell us "He's mine, and you're nothing." lol, I love their little quirks. Sorry for the longest ranting ever.

Oddly this time Imodium set me back. Like other times it’s been a god send, this time I feel like I’ve just delayed it.
I’ve been messing with an on/off loperamide (immodium) routine and it definetly helps, but it’s been like 11 days, I used (I know) on day 9 but if it’s just once it’s usually fine, and night of day 11 I went to bed and needed to get up and rush to the toilet because I was so naseous, and today I woke up (day 12) with typical mild withdrawal symptoms (hot/cold, not comfortable even laying down, sneezing, restless, the usual)
Almost like I hadn’t stopped using at all the preceding week+

      Thanks, jason

    • @TheseFourWalls
      @TheseFourWalls  5 лет назад

The early recovery tips helped me a lot thru the first 3 months. Now, it's just more a mental battle. After about 3 months, then I began dealing with the post acute withdrawal symptoms (P.A.W.S) which I'll be doing a video on how I'm handling the random symptoms I get at 5 months sober. (Plus, just dealing with how crazy life can get, sober, is so tough at first... Then, something shifts. You're not numb anymore, and you just start having moments of feeling more alive than you have in a long time. I dunno, that's how it's been for me. First months the worst, 2nd and 3ed get easier. By the fourth and fifth, I've been able to start getting back into the swing of things a bit better.
It's all a process. Keeping calm was the most important element of it for me. Stress tenses us, raises our blood pressure, ups our adrenalin, and so on... So keep that in mind. It makes recovery much harder.
If you ever need support or advice on what might have helped me, I try to respond to every comment. 😊🌻 Super proud of you.

These Four Walls thanks. I appreciate this. I’ll look into PAWS, and see more about this. I know stress was a trigger for me, so right now I have the luxury to not work right now. I’m going to try to go on 2x this week. That’s my goal, but it won’t be very long. But I swear that’s helped me. It took two weeks for my brain fog to lift. And for the last 3 days, I’ve had happy days! Which I am so, so thankful for. I’m just a little scared of crossing over into new months, as I have some responsibilities I need to ease back into. But I need to not rush it. I’m making goals each week with Nicole, but transitioning back into going into work every day again has me nervous. I’ll talk to her more about it tomorrow, I guess. Journaling has helped me sort my thoughts. Sometimes I have to write out my prayers even, as my concentration isn’t the best. But I’m working on a morning routine and waiting on my big book to come in.

These Four Walls also, Sonia from chat told us about 2 apps you need immediately.
“I am sober” and Keytag for NA apps. They both have the date count. I’ll look up the name.
The first one had a daily motivational quote but also tells you the $, time you have saved! And the time clean down to the minute. And there’s a chart for your feelings for the day and notes. It’s awesome! Plus no one trying to sell me anything yet
