I know this video won't do well. It was a passion project and it's something I wanted to share with my friends which are you all. Thanks for getting to experience it with me.
This is exactly how i feel about motorcycles. It's always been my absolute dream to ride a Ducati at a racetrack. Why? Who cares why. I have a 2019 Ducati V4S which I'm finally able to afford in my life and as soon as I catch up on some bills in life i'm going to spend a lot of time at the racetrack. Keep doing what you do sir! Enjoy your love and passion! Its what keeps us going.
I'm glad to know that you were there, that is a huge supporting role. It's people like you that are there that helps make the moment a shared experience, possibly one you will never forget. Congratulations and "I" am proud of all of you for making this a reality.
This is a real race car with an actual manual transmission and classic style gauge cluster and 5 lugnuts on the tires. This generation will always be missed!
Never been a fan of NASCAR really, but I do love cars and the Mrs. and I have nothing but love and support for our man Cody. So this is an awesome watch. :)
The passion for this sport you have can be seen in your eyes, your voice and the way you make these videos. I really enjoy these types of videos, The sounds, The interior shots just bring me right back to when NASCAR was in its prime and Gordon was on top. I would love to do this someday.
Do what you love man. Live life to the fullest. I enjoyed the video. I sent the link for this video to my mom. She loves racing and misses going to the dirt races here in st. Louis
Editing this must have taken hours, but they were well spent. I enjoyed all the camera angles and placement of the shots. It made me feel like I was there too! Great job Cody!! :)
I still dont get how these vids are not doing well. Racing your own NASCAR stock car is badass! On a more somber note, I still remember when Rockingham was on the Winston Cup schedule. Saddens me to see what has become of Thunder Valley, but glad to see it still getting some love from passionate fans like you!
Hey man I raced this track on Halloween with Buck Baker Racing School. It was one of the most unique tracks I've ever been on. The track was pretty rough but thats what makes it Rockingham. They are going to improve it even more, the owners just got $10 million from the government for track repairs!
My ex-husband used to race 250cc motorcycles at tracks on the west coast so I felt like I could smell your entire video. I think it's awesome that you are doing what you love!
Showed up in my suggestions either on the home page or on one of his other videos. Had to watch. I was expecting a full race though, despite knowing how dangerous that could have been. You see, professional race drivers have special insurance that should cover most anything, then the official organization has medics and equipment for getting people out of bad wrecks.
I love these videos, especially because we get to see you doing what you love. This is what gives me a sense of pride and accomplishment. It's not my feat but I have been along for the ride since 40K. Been a lot of ups and downs but man, you deserve this. You deserve to be happy. Thank you for continuing to post these videos regardless of nay sayers.
I'm amazed that this video didn't so so much better. I don't care for Nascar that much but I do love fast cars. Also can't ignore the skill it takes to drive cars like this.
I just bought my first NASCAR Racecar . Mine isn’t as nice as yours and needs a rebuild but I Hope one day to see you at the racetrack . This video was a bit of an inspiration for me to take the plunge so thank you
Great Video Cam really like the nascar videos keep up the great work bro and keep outing out the videos that bring you joy all of the famelot are for you
Why do I always feel like a proud dad when watching these kind of videos? That’s awesome can you imagine if you had not ask for advice? Wow that’s fast!
Your clutch seems easier than the old Dale Earnhardt Jr car I drove when I did the rusty Wallace experience at Richmond....it was so easy to stall unless I gave it alot of throttle then I could float the gears...
So, i have to ask... Did you get to take her and keep her up in top gear for a while? You had some nice racing lines and a decent looking pace overall, awesome dude!
It makes me happy to see you happy! You were passing folks like they were standing still. Also, does the speedo change colors and flicker or is that just how the camera picks it up? Love ya bud!
I'm curious how you setup your car for the track. Because you usually race on road courses. Did you ever get any help on adjusting the gearing for this kinda track at any point?
Oh, look at me. I can turn left. Totally kidding. This is bad ass. I did 20 laps at Charlotte 10 years ago and was convinced i was gonna die in every damn corner. But it did make the pp tingle. Lol. Live that dream!
So is this like a sanctioned vintage Nascar class you guys put together? How does a guy go about this? I'm a dirt track racer myself and this looks like worth trying for fun!
No. Stock Car Classics hosts events across the country, for vintage cars on track. Everything from short track cars of the 50s and 60s, to recently outdated cup cars, and everything in between. Think track day or exhibition racing kind of of scenario.
I know this video won't do well. It was a passion project and it's something I wanted to share with my friends which are you all. Thanks for getting to experience it with me.
Thanks for sharing dude! I’d die to experience something like this.

Not every video has to do well man. Don’t let numbers dictate your channel. I liked this.

24ever, will always be a Gordon fan first and foremost.
Honestly, I’m a black and white fan. But Gordon was definitely a hell of a driver as well!
Rich tomorrow: Carlos was driving Cody's NASCAR. Let's get into it.
Glad to see you had an awsome time at the track. Keep up the amazing work.
Do what you love man. Live life to the fullest. I enjoyed the video. I sent the link for this video to my mom. She loves racing and misses going to the dirt races here in st. Louis

Mike Harmon got penalized by NASCAR for doing this....... I blame Camelot

Every Talladega Nights line instantly rushed into my head as I watched this.

How Freaking Awesome is that!!!! What an experience that must have been, especially with a car you own. I have a new goal now!!
Awesome dude. Glad to see you back behind the wheel after that crash earlier this year. What was your top speed for the day?
Speaking of Mike Harmon the 47s crew chief is from here in nny and Kyle weatherman is a really talented driver from what they run
Looks like an amazing experience! 🏁

Sweet car brother. Remember that trailing throttle lol
I'm curious how you setup your car for the track. Because you usually race on road courses. Did you ever get any help on adjusting the gearing for this kinda track at any point?

Is it just me, or does the front end sticker pack look more like the avenger than the charger?
