They used to teach that in school, along with paying bills, balancing a check book, reading your meter, etc. it was called a Proficiency Exam. You couldn’t graduate high school without passing this class, literally. Then people complained that their kids were being forced to learn how to take care of themselves.

I took a personal finance class instead of going to AP statistics and the high school counselor called me an idiot. Fuck that bitch I learned a lot in that personal finance class. And I passed stats in college with an A. Even helped half the class cheat on the final exam (I tutored them the entire year and they were really good people from ex convict to a mother of a 22 yr old nearly brain dead autistic child. In the end I was like fuck it I'ma just help y'all cheat)

I was terrible in math in high school, so in order to graduate I had to take what was portrayed as “math for dummies.” It turned out to be the single most important class I have ever taken. We learned how to balance a checkbook, how to apply for loans and mortgages, how to bargain shop, how interest works, and yes, how to do our taxes. It’s the one class that I still use every day and impacted my life the most. Just the lessons for student loans and credit cards alone saved me from making some huge, life-changing financial mistakes (I went to college in an era when credit card companies would set up booth on the quad and offer students free crap to sign up). To this day I cannot fathom why that class isn’t mandatory for every high school senior.

You know what’s funny? If he would’ve sold these piracy sticks for say, one year he would’ve had enough money for him and his family for a very long time probably. Avarice is a powerful and dangerous thing. Tozy is right, he’s a super likable guy who is accepting his punishment like a man. And in the thick of this whole thing, all he was worried about were his kids having a father who is with them. He broke the law and stole millions from multi billion dollar companies, learned his lesson, praised the judge for being fair and, just wants to be in his kids lives for a long time. As a father, we need more guys like him. There’s so many kids who’ve had to father figure present and, that’s never good. So, I hope he does/did his time and works on himself and being a good father. Good luck, sir.

All the other charges were dropped due to the fact that IPTV was still legal back when. And all the money he made since was by legal means. After the whole Gears Reloaded stuff, he made bank flipping houses. So when he gets out in about a year or so (because I doubt he'll be spending more time than that behind bars), he'll be just fine.

Finally the thing that is absolutely absurd to me: 500 Years?! What the actual hell!? Just for that? Just for selling a USB Drive with movies and Cable TV on it? That does not deserve 500 years, even if it got replaced by 5 years. 500 years shouldn’t of even been considered.
