The same guy who wrote Dawson Creek also wrote Scream (Kevin Williamson) his script for Scream originally was titled "Scary Movie." Scary Movie is actually really Metta even for a parody based off a meta horror film. Also it is theorized by many and even partially confirmed by Kevin Williamson that Billy and Stu both might of been suppressed homosexuals who used violence to suppress their own sexuality making the parallels even more ironic and coincidental and Scary movie as the Wayans and other writers probably caught onto that.
I feel like both Brenda and Shorty deserve their own film as they are both my favorite characters from these films. I will say that Brenda is the most consistently funny character in all of the films. I believe there are 5 of these films, but the Wayans only made the first 2 before studio exec's decided to do what studio execs do best and that is ruin a franchise to try and maximize their pockets. If you go back and rewatch this movie there are hints to Doofy being the killer sprinkled throughout the film and Gale being his accomplice. Right before Cindy punches Gale on the brick wall in the background "Doofy" is painted on the wall. When the killer calls Cindy while she's at Buffy/Doofy's house, the mom goes to get Doofy and the killer panics over the phone a little bit before hanging up and the mom walking into his room. Gale is the only person the killer comes across who he doesn't kill and she's the one who is sleeping with Doofy. Also, this is a bit of a stretch, but still and indicator, but in the scene where the killer calls Cindy at Buffy's house as you pointed out, Doofy is packing in the nether region, later when Ray gets peckered in the ear the pee-pee is long enough to go past the wall and through a human head and still hang out a couple of inches on the other side. The first 2 Scary Movies are perfect parodies in my opinion, the 3rd one is okay, but the Wayans not being in it or involved with the script is really felt, it doesn't even feel like it's in the same universe, but Brenda is always hilarious in all of these films and her best interaction that I'm anxious to see you react to is her with the girl from the Ring, I won't say anymore because I don't want to spoil too much about these films, but that is one of my favorite parts about these movies. Lol
I always thought the part where everyone takes turn stabbing her reminded me of the part in Airplane where they're taking turns trying to kill the hysterical woman. Lol 😂
This was the first movie that the movie theater wouldn't let me in without my grandpa because I was underage. Before that he could just walk up to the box office and be like one ticket to this rated r movie and hand me the ticket and I would go inside. But this time they made him attend. We enjoyed it

I remember seeing this as a kid, and I loved horror, especially Scream then too. So the tropes and the out right ridiculous jokes were completely awesome. The only reason I think my parents let me watch this, is because they had no idea how sexual it was. It was years before I fully realized half of these jokes. Brenda Meeks is the best character in the whole movie/franchise... Been waiting for this reaction for a little while . This Is a childhood classic for me . I could probably resite this film from memory I've seen it so many times It's an almost perfect parody film , some of its aged poorly yes but its also kind of refreshing watching these films that aren't completely PC. Before you watch Scary Movie 2 (if you decide to do that), you must watch The Haunting (1999) and House on Haunted Hill (1999). Both were remakes to black & white horror classics of the same name (you can watch those as well, especially since they're considered the superior version, especially The Haunting (1963). While Scary Movie parodied 90s slashers, Scary Movie 2 theme is haunted house movies (especially the 90s remakes). Scary Movie 2 is often considered the best one...

Welcome back! Was absolutely not expecting this movie. I stopped watching after the third film, but alot of the parody films are awesome! Before you decide to do Scary Movie 2, might I suggest Not Another Teen Movie? Gotta give that one some props, lol. Keep doing what you do!
Have you ever watched “Teaching Mrs. Tingle,” starring Katie Holmes and Helen Mirren? It was written and directed by Kevin Williamson, and I actually think it’s a SEVERELY underrated movie. Great suspenseful black comedy. Would love to see you react to that sometime.
What's clever about this movie is the way it mixed representation with humor. Everybody got roasted. The black girl talking loud in the cinema troupe The transgender coach troupe The dumb white girl troupe The always high black guy troupe The Kinky police officer troupe The rabid news woman troupe. Etc. Nobody is left out, which actually makes this movie one of the most inclusive movies of its time.
To clear this up the trans coach bit played by female body builder Jayne Trcka.. the joke was that her name is “Miss Man” and That particular character wasn’t necessarily trans for trans sake lol .. Miss Mann was pretending to be a transwoman to be close with the girls .. she was just a man crossdressing for a gain .. just wanted to clear up the transphobia thing for the wayans sake … idk if anyone explained that or not but I wasn’t gonna scroll to find out so there it go 😂🤣😂

This Is a childhood classic for me . I could probably resite this film from memory I've seen it so many times It's an almost perfect parody film , some of its aged poorly yes but its also kind of refreshing watching these films that aren't completely PC. Everythings a little to sanitised now. Being offended every now an then keeps me on my toes 😂

Before you watch Scary Movie 2 (if you decide to do that), you must watch The Haunting (1999) and House on Haunted Hill (1999). Both were remakes to black & white horror classics of the same name (you can watch those as well, especially since they're considered the superior version, especially The Haunting (1963). While Scary Movie parodied 90s slashers, Scary Movie 2 theme is haunted house movies (especially the 90s remakes). Scary Movie 2 is often considered the best one...

Welcome back! Was absolutely not expecting this movie. I stopped watching after the third film, but alot of the parody films are awesome! Before you decide to do Scary Movie 2, might I suggest Not Another Teen Movie? Gotta give that one some props, lol. Keep doing what you do!

Have you ever watched “Teaching Mrs. Tingle,” starring Katie Holmes and Helen Mirren? It was written and directed by Kevin Williamson, and I actually think it’s a SEVERELY underrated movie. Great suspenseful black comedy. Would love to see you react to that sometime.

To clear this up the trans coach bit played by female body builder Jayne Trcka.. the joke was that her name is “Miss Man” and That particular character wasn’t necessarily trans for trans sake lol .. Miss Mann was pretending to be a transwoman to be close with the girls .. she was just a man crossdressing for a gain .. just wanted to clear up the transphobia thing for the wayans sake … idk if anyone explained that or not but I wasn’t gonna scroll to find out so there it go 😂🤣😂
