Hey Chris, the RUclips panel was awesome to see and York was an great time as always. Vendors said this was some of the biggest turnout in years and part of me thinks these RUclips channels are a contributing factor. Thank you very much! Also, the power outage was a bit of a curve ball on Friday but you can still shop for trains in the dark!
Hey, Chris! Hope all is well. I will not be at York next weekend as I am running a marathon back home. Enjoy the show and I’ll think about going to the one in the spring. I love how your son really wanted your hood up and for you to be loud and clear. My friend’s son would do the same thing to me. 😂 Take care! 🚂
Can't wait my daughter and I are making our first York show appearance super excited just got my RUclips channel Rollin UncleMattstrains super excited about that and meeting all you guys
Professor Chris, thanks for sharing the events in and around York and LSVMRC visiting schedule. I look forward to meeting you in person. Your young helper did a great job. Remember, one day, once he is in middle school you will be able to get him back, just being a dad! LOL. Enjoy every moment!
I getting so excited for York! It’s going to be my first year going and I can’t wait! I’m hoping to find a good deal on one of the new Lionel FEF-3 Northerns or some BNSF or UP diesel power. I’m glad you made this video because I had thought the RUclipsr panel was on Saturday! Thanks!
Thanks Chris!! Great pre York video and info!! Your son fills all the behind the scenes roles for you - sound engineer, hair/makeup/clothing, etc. He is an awesome helper and addition to your videos!! And, thanks again for including my channel on the t-shirts!! Super grateful for that and that proceeds will go to a great charity!! See you Friday at York!!
Looking forward to the show and representing the 3 Rails 4 Dad's on the panel. Awesome job keeping a straight face and staying on script while your son messed with your hood 🤣
I will try to make it to the Great Scale show in Timonium thos Sat, then possibly getting up to York. I would like to get a couple of BCR's for a couple of my trains like my DDA40X, & UP SD90
A fine primer, for sure. I really look forward to the Meet n’ Greet. Always great information on the hobby and RUclips. I’m looking for an AMT Broadway Limited observation specifically, but all AMT passenger cars are fair game. K-Line O81 curves are another priority and anything Atlantic City that is train related, is a plus. An excellent video,as always.
Hey Chris, great York primer! Loved your helper. I will be there Friday only this time as well due to the same, work and soccer. Will definately attend the RUclips mixer for the first time. Glad it's on Friday and not Sat. Looking forward to it. Hopefully I'll get over the LSVMRC Friday evening. Went in the spring and thoroughly enjoyed the time there. Not looking for anything in particular, maybe something Chessie. I'm dropping my MTH Challenger off to be fixed because it failed abruptly while running on my layout and I can't figure out the problem. Hope to meet you!
I'll be heading to York myself this Fall Chris! And thanks for nailing down the "RUclips Meet n' Greet" day and time. The official TCA booklet has it listed for Saturday which would certainly lead to confusion, although the booklet is several mo nths old and of course things do change. What am I looking for? Kind of like yourself, not really anything in particular. I'm going to wait and see what finds ME! 🤩 And I'll certainly be at the "RUclips" gathering, wouldn't miss that for anything!
Hey chris loved the hood routine will be there all 3 days looking forward to the utube meet and greet on Friday and hoping to take a ride out to the lower susquhanna club on Thursday
Heading up on Thursday for the three days. I will be looking out for some rolling stock and scenery items. My two ES44 preorders and Triplex but a dent in my budget so no engines, or at least that’s what I say now. Looking forward to the Meet and Greet, heading over to the Lower Susquehanna Valley Modular Railroad Club and stopping at the TCA Toy Train Museum on my way home.
Has the TCA ever approached you or other O gauge trains influencers about cosponsoring one or more of your videos? The average age of TCA members about 72. To gain younger members, TCA needs to go where O gauge enthusiasts are today. You do more work to promote the TCA than TCA does. I've suggested to TCA board members that they reach out to influencers but they won't respond or listen. In fact, the TCA does not even have general email address/box for members to contact the Board. I even wrote letters but the one Board member who called me basically told me the Board is too busy with bureaucratic tasks to modernize outreach. I've been a TCA member since 1994. The only reason I maintain my membership is to attend York...and York is nowhere as exciting as it once was in thr 1990s and early 2000s.. Fewer and fewer hobby shops show up and a lot of offerings seem like undesirable overstock. Anyway, just a few thoughts.
I've worked with TCA board members on videos and produce the York video that the Eastern Division uses on their website to promote the show. As far as sponsoring, no, they have not offered to sponsor or pay me for my time or videos. I've done them on a pro bono basis.

I'm looking for an MTH bavarian euro steam engine and DB passenger cars 👀 (and VIA rail of course), see ya there!

No RBP Chris on the panel this year?
I have a YT Model Railroading channel and will be joining the TCA at the show. Are folks with YT channels allowed to participate on the panel?
We have a set group of panel members. Anyone at the show is welcome to attend to listen or ask questions.
Man why does it have be on a school day and birthday
