    Louder for the people in the back!
    I love how you are out there, advocating for people to invest in personal and varied items that represent their personal style. The dialogue around capsule wardrobes was far too 'basic' before you came along, Daria. It was ultimately unsatisfying for anyone outside of the minimalist, monochrome aesthetic. Hurray for WOW!

    I have been watching your channel for a long time, and since I am a warm color type I am particularly interested in the warm capsule wardrobes you create. I am so impressed with the pieces you find that coordinate so well together. Even if I can find the right color garments, the proportions are often not compatible to create truly interchangeable and attractive outfits. The outfits you create appear to balance proportions, style elements and color so well. You have such talent and I learn so much from watching your work.

    I gained about 10 pounds, ( this was planned) i love how I feel in my body now. Much curvier, and just juicylicious! Haha I love it. I had to declutter and buy new pieces and I started buying what made me happy and refused to buy anything that I thought was an essential basic. I went with my feelings and the discovered my own personal style. I started out with no idea what it was. Now I know, by following my heart. My color palette : light pink, beige, ecru, brown, and some brick red. NO BLACK!

    Yes, this is exactly what I did. I bought all the basics first and it got a bit boring. Fortunately, most were thrifted and have a good fit with natural materials. I’m selling some but keeping most because they are really good for me and it means I can do laundry less often. Right now I’m going to just try to slowly wear them out and not buy more. I’m definitely shifting my thinking to as few basics as I need and only getting another similar thing if I miss it because it was in the laundry. Even though I work in a professional job there are some classic and basic things I really don’t need at all.

Unfortunatelly, I've had the same problem - after decluttering my wardrobe, there were almost only basics left in white, grey, blue and navy. However, I started to looking for some colourful pieces, to bring some fresh energy into it. I still need to organize my wardrobe, but it loos better already. Need to get it done right now ;)

    I have a similar problem to your client, my wardrobe is boring after too much decluttering. I spent so long not shopping that I have lost my taste for it almost (which is really strange because I own a vintage clothing shop 🤣) I think maybe I get my kick from looking at the clothes in our shop and don't feel the need to buy any for myself anymore... but I do need to! I have hardly anything to wear and I need to look more stylish when I work in the shop.
    My main problem is that I am finding it very hard to determine what season I am. I hope when our shop picks up I can afford to take your class on this subject

    Yes I have a problem...I try to keep purchases to the minimum and considered. It means that when I have a basic that goes with many things - I wear it to death. After a couple of years I realise that I have to let it go as it doesn't look fresh anymore, stains etc. Then I can't find a basic to replace it. For example I had some lovely boat neck long tees - in 3 different colours..that went with many things - great cut. Now they are worn out and hard to find something as good. I don't want to buy something that is kinda OK. My character pieces seem to last longer and I don't wear them out and can rotate them more. :) Daria - this wardrobes rocks! If I win some money this year - Im booking in...to the full WOW and a personal session :)

    I’ve been told by a stylist that my colouring is cool...but I’m not so sure. A colour specialist online looked at my photo and said I’m warm. I’ve been wearing Soft Summer colours, as these are the warmest of the cool colours - they look pretty good! I’m going to see a colour analyst this year when we can move around more freely, and get draped so I’m clear what season I really am. I read it’s quite common for Spring (warm) colouring to be mistyped as Summer (cool) colouring, in fair people. I’ve got a lot of navy, white and denim as these are “safe” colours to wear when you are not sure what colour season is best on you. facebook.com/551418214977180/posts/3434931819959124/

    • @wonderwardrobe
      @wonderwardrobe  3 года назад +1

      Yes, getting a pro consultation is a nice choice 😉 its quite common because both of them have light features but the difference is in undertones and contrast. It's also quite common to confuse a Summer type with Autumn as both of them are muted and soft.

    • @olagerta8199
      @olagerta8199 3 года назад

      It is easy to check. How do you look in warm orange and then compare it to cold rose (magenta). I m a soft summer but I m so fair and I m thinking about cold summer. I hope that I helped.

    • @hw7029
      @hw7029 3 года назад +1

      @@olagerta8199 peach versus rose is a good test - but I don’t have an objective eye. I’m going to an expert so I can get an independent professional opinion, and also identify some of my best colours

    • @olagerta8199
      @olagerta8199 3 года назад

      @@hw7029 It is a good decision. At the end of November I was at color analysis - I m a soft summer. Thanks to it my wardrobe decluttering has been completed. I watched also Jen Thoden on youtube about colors. So soft summer in her system is soft, cool, medium :)

    • @cg50621Q
      @cg50621Q 3 года назад +3

      Shellina, I've had this problem as well. My insight has been that I should have kept all my bold colors and patterns to a type of piece. For example, if the colors and prints are in tops only, and I keep the pants and layers more neutral, they mix and match pretty well. My problem is where I have colorful or patterned tops that don't mix well with colorful or patterned layers. I've pretty much weeded out any colorful or patterned bottoms, other than one skirt that works well with many, if not all my tops. I've also narrowed my color range, focusing on camel, olive and a green that are my best neutrals, plus teals in different shades and mints. Because the teals and greens are near each other on the color wheel (google "analogous colors") they mix and match fairly well. Hope that helps! It takes time.
