Sounds like James has now decided to rephrase things to keep away from the high stuff he can't nail any more. Bravo !!! No Shame !!! Age comes for us all !!!
Would you guys finally shut the F*CK up about this age thing? John Farnham sang "You're The Voice" perfectly at 67, Bruce Dickinson is still good, and countless other examples. James should quit.
I've seen roundabout 14 concerts now over many years and yesterday was absolutely one of the best! Everything was really perfect - the sound, the lightshow and most of all James singing.. we'll see them again next summer - 🤗
It was my second time after 2009 seeing them live. It was just a really great time, about 15 meters away from MPs drumkit, the tracklist was really good, James voice sounded really good, the light show was one of the best I've ever seen and the sound was pretty good for a live event. So glad i was not too parsimonious to buy the ticket! I am pretty sure to come again in 2025!
@@thrashmaster1357he sounded much better than the past years.. he's getting older like all of us, so at least he has to make compromisses and we have to accept that..
Better? Lowering the register is one thing being out of tune is another. Also where they struggling to hear each other? JP and JR were so out of sync during the unison...
LaBrie's voice certainly struggles to hit the high notes, but it's far better than those of us who have never sung professionally for decades. Let's not forget that not only he, but all vocalists are warriors every night.
Exactly I’ve seen rob halford in recent years adapt to not have the upper part of his range anymore. Still great shows and very enjoyably. As a singer myself I know aging requires us to adapt. There aren’t many Glenn Hughes and Paul Rodger’s types that defy aging!
@@itsamazeofmirrors I find myself rooting for him on every video but it becomes obvious, rather disheartening and definitely not fair to the fans. I'm glad I got to see them on 'SIDOT' & 'TOT' when they were first released. I cannot justify spending money to see them now even with MP back in the band.

At the beginning of the show, during Metropolis Pt. 1, when we first heard James LaBrie’s voice, we all thought it was going to be a horrible show… But as the performance went on, he got better and better and actually delivered a solid set! In many of the later songs, he was honestly pretty awesome - especially in Hollow Years, The Spirit Carries On, Octavarium, Home, and of course, Pull Me Under! I was genuinely impressed.
I get Metropolis is kind of a fan favorite to start the show off with, but that’s really tough for James to come out and sing it as the FIRST song of the night. At the very least, they really should have down tuned it a full step. Ideally, I think they should’ve opened with something easier to sing like Constant Motion. It’s a high energy song and an easy song to get a James warmed up.
I'm so tired of ppl beeing overcritical with Jame's voice. He sounds phenomenal even if he struggles with the high notes and no I'm not deaf for god's sake. Usally, they're starting the set with songs in a lower register, so he can warm up but on this tour he is forced to sing a very high one at first. Every singer in his 60's has problems to reach the high notes. Even Bruce Dickinson, as soon he has to sing "Aces High" or "The Trooper" he sounds like as if he were on the verge of fainting. But everybodys like "Whoaaa, he sounds sooo good". This is a freakin' double standard to me. So could you pls stop complaining about every note James couldn't hit perfectly? Thank you.

I like it! It actually makes the song sound a bit different and fresh. I've heard the original a million times!
Also gives those of us who never had his upper range some new approaches to singing along with Dream Theater songs

its hard when the voice cords dont work anymore......for that hes doing really well.....but it just doesnt sound good it is what it is
He needs to balance everything since the show is 3hrs long.

großartig ..... auch James gestern sehr gut bei Stimme - ein geiler Abend
This song is so is do insane with the faster tempo on the instrumental parts. I always wanted to see this performance live.
Einer der besten Konzererlebnisse :)
Love the led panel along the keyboard!

Wow! James, bravo!! Unexpected great
No, not really. He sounds terrible. But in his Age its hard to sing like that. Not everybody can sing forever like that, like John Arch can.^^
"Great" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Dude, it's a professional band and people pay 80+ euros to come see them. This is nothing more than a SHAME.

❤klasse ! Ich war dabei !!
James war der Hammer. Und auch Portnoy für mich das erste Mal live zu sehen war absolut mega. Für mich das beste Konzert bei dem ich je war

James making some solid choices!!!

Er hat klasse gesungen, es lag an der Lautstärke, mit konzertohrstöpseln klang es top, ohne recht mies
The strange thing is that while the curtains were released everywhere else, they were raised here

Why can I never hear Myung?
Cause he's a bass player. In a metal band

you record Full show?
Plz Upload a video that compiles all the Footage you've taken into one!😊
Who sits down for half of the first song at a rock show? 🤦🏻♂️
is that singer drunk?
Has been drunk since 2000. LOL.
He destroyed his vocal cords in 1994 and decided to keep touring instead of letting it heal. Progressively got worse since then
@@kdspa they are prog even when the vocalist is getting worse LOL
No, he is horrible and needs to be replaced
Imaging paying for that.
New low for James
