- Happy 4th of July! This vid is from a cool, cloudy and foggy day, fishing Sods in New Jersey. Fluke fishing was slow but somehow got 3 keepers and no shorts. A bluefish that didnt make it to the video and Matteo slaying some schoolie bass rounded out the day.

Nice work young Jedi. I see a lot of potential in your shore game.
Loved the vid C$, keep them coming!
I like shore fishing more sometimes when i don't feel like hauling the kayak around
Love your videos man. Being from Michigan, you make me want to visit the east coast and try for black drum and flounder. Keep up the great content!
Happy 4th! Great video!
Yeah! Happy 4th to you!
Where is the spot
You're so lucky to live near the ocean man! I'm extremely envious. It's awesome that you're still using that broken ruler lol!
Definitely enjoyed the video!
I've got to get back into fishing...live down in eastern NC...driving distance from some good fishing, just got to take the time and freaking go!!!
I wish we had that weather
Time to create a new playlist: "bonus beers".
Nice flounder looks like fun
I watch you from Russia, great videos, thanks
where are those sod banks and how do you access them
Thank you for sharing. I'm a newbie. Need all the help I can get 😂
In nj or ny
I guess the clouds were a sign then!
clouds mean it is time to go fishing
So why is overcast weather is better than the sunny day for fishing ?
Justin not here too
Why are you here
how long can you leave the fish on the bank like that with out worrying the fish will go bad? seen you do it in other videos and just curious
I like how you get right into fishing nice video me personally I’d think you’d do a lot better off with out the bucktail use only the grub you’ll be surprised on the results
Cool video! Which GoPro are using these days? Do you have any videos where you are using a Hero 4?
Thanks brother
Good action man!
Hawaiin tropic dry oil lotion kills no seems on contact...you got to try it..always in my box
Its probably been mentioned before, but how about a video of you cleaning and filleting flounder. Thanks!
I love the corrupt tape measure.
Kevin Shue ?
He has that broken tape measure he been using for a while now. I love every time I see it come out of his pocket. I laugh every time.
My man seamoney: the fluke catching, pelican rescuing, wild beer catching son of a gun.
Great Vid!
Chris , I am new in New Jersey. Can you tell good shore spots for fluke fishing such as this one?
Thanks.
Great video! never fished the sod banks! where u down by AC
Where r these sod banks
Nice flounders
“Good weather” DUDE it’s LIGHTNING and you are fishing !
You should show us how you filet and cook those
Congrats on the 100k subs brother. Next time you're up north of Boston on the north shore by Salisbury and the Mass/New Hampshire border I will show you nice Northern Mass striper spots.
Hey Chris, do you have any tips for fishing from shore when there's a lot of wind?
probably best to use a 2oz sinker with a small bucktail a foot above it, chicken rig type thing.
yea if its really windy then it could be a waste of time. trying to go out when winds are lighter will make it more enjoyable.. unless the bugs are out. there is a fine line between a light enough wind to make it easy to fish, and a light enough wind that the bugs are out in force. 10-12mph is probably the magic wind speed.
Thank u Chris and everyone!
I try to find a spot that puts me in a position that has the wind directly at my back (preferred) or so that I’m directly facing it. I think a crosswind that puts bow in my line is the biggest issue because can’t keep contact with my jig and can’t detect bites.
Cyril Javier what sup bro!!! This is TRUNG
Nice vid money as always. I wondered if you checked the born date on that yuengling lmao but good stuff
Hey Chris question? For Flounder what is the best bucktail and gulp u use?I kinda want to know because I never caught Flounder
Chris, Great video, you always manage to get a limit. Sod stalking for flounder can be hazardous. how do you deal with the green heads and no see ums?
Nice vest
That’s weird I bought some new gulp and the tail was all weird and folded like that too. Also I noticed the gulp is super soft now
SchusterFishing sometimes the gulp is more firm and sometimes it’s really soft but they are not always consistent on texture
i was kayak fishing in the surf this morning and the fog was insane. been staying away from the sod banks because the green heads and knats have been so bad, how were the bugs this day?
the bugs are the mortal enemy of the backbay angler. they were fine most of this day until dusk, then they were really bad. greenheads, black flies, no see ums, mosquitos... theres a lot of adversity back there in the summer.
Sea-Money Fishing yeah definitely not a place you wanna be with no wind and no big spray
Lmao Matteo is my brother , it's hilarious to randomly see him in your videos. He is such a good fisherman, it's fun to see some of the footage!
Nice looking marsh.
Do you ever stick flounder at night along the bank?
I have caught tons Halibut in the Bay Area but never tried Flounder, Flounder Vs Halibut taste wise?
Pls do some catch and cooks
Yooo love the vids man. I have an 18’ tracker with a 90hp out of OCNJ. Let’s go out!
Just curious to ask..... do you trim off some of the hair from the bucktails you use when casting?
Great Vids , Just a tip , but why don't you mark out inches on your pole ?
I got a question anybody know where any little creek sore spots like this are in Delaware for flounder fishing and or trout or striper would be vary grateful for any info or good spots to catch any of the 3 from shore
NICE...🎣👌😎
You should be in Corolla with Romo, Sea Money!
I'll call 8lb flue on a dog with some years back
I'll call the APL by fluke on the on the point pleasant New Jersey
hey chris what vest is that?
apocalyptic type no see ums lol
cool video, do you notice a difference in taste of flounder from the backwater bays vs ocean shelf?
I havent noticed a difference in taste, but a more evolved fish eater might be able to tell a difference.
You do run into some dark chocolate looking fluke in the back bays.
Oh yeah, definitely. I think you can see these fish in Chris' video are much darker than ones he caught in kayak videos fishing the ocean. I guess this is because the fish camouflage with either the dark mud or light sand. I just wondered what Chris thought because I've heard people that say the ocean fish have a superior taste and texture, but I wondered if it could really make that much of a difference. Chris' reply supports my idea that it's probably not detectable given the fish are healthy.
how do i catch a fluke in maine
I see some peace token jigs in the box, they’ve got some nice stuff. You’ve been crushing the fluke this season from shore! Quick question, I seem to have more success at high tide and the beginning of outgoing, you mentioned you were fishing the end of outgoing. Are you pretty close to the inlet or further back? I don’t seem to have nearly as much luck at the bottom of the tide at the spots I fish.
do you ever use worms? ive tried before but never caught anything. also, did you see any gators there?
Any tips on surf fishing in cape may? love fishing but don’t know that much cause I don’t get to go that often
can catch sharks and stingrays off all the beaches in the summer. usually its slow for gamefish species like bass blues weakfish and fluke, but you can catch small fluke weakfish bass on small jigs just about any given morning or evening, lotta times they are right tight to the beach or along the jetties. making the long walk to the north jetty of cold springs inlet also a good idea.
Sea-Money Fishing cool thanks man
Awesome , great commentary as well. How come you wait to bleed out the ones youre going to harvest? Thanks in advance
think I forgot to bleed these fish. its not the end of the world.. the flounder meat is still delicious whether you bleed em or not.
Nice
Nice flounder 3 at 18 still?
Right off the bridge coming into wildwood I caught 2 18+in keepers & an over 20in keeper. Was kind of a slow day & then the high tide came back in at 2:00. Non stop hits from 2-3:30
Luke Stakelbeck what is your favorite place in wildwood to fish
DHINKLE30 I dont know the name of the bridge but it's the last one when coming into north wildwood. Stay as close to the bridge side as possible or you will get stuck when low tide comes. If its low tide go back as far into the marshy area as you can & when it's high tide stay close to the bend that goes under the bridge. You will get your limit every time. Especially now the flounder are killing minnows & gulps.
ok cool thanks
Hey Man Nice fishing where is the how to go there??
Nice video man. I've noticed you've been using mostly Shimano stuff this season so far. Have you retired the Penn stuff? Just curious as to your reason why
under 2k gang. Keep it reel!!!!
Make a video already !!!
C'mon Man!! Really need to get yourself a Leatherman Tool or at least a pair of decent needle nose pliers to have in that pouch... LOL..;)
On fishing note... you are so lucky to have areas that you can actually catch keeper size fluke / flounder from the shore. If I were to do that in my neck of the woods I would catch dozens of short fish and and might get lucky and catch a squeaker size keeper while being put in the poor house buying Gulp grubs... LOL....kudos on the limit in a very economical way.
I bagged me a 24 inch 5lb Fluke today of the Party boat and the Pool winner
I need help I can’t catch any good striper what do I do?
live eels
I cant catch any good stripers either haha. go to your local tackle shop, ask for some tips, spend a little money and they will give you some good info. fishing at night is usually the time to catch.
LOL - Apocalyptic No-Seeums - You pretty much have to have Jersey Shore in your DNA to have experienced their Day Ruining power
.
Sea-Money Fishing can you do a video showing your jigging technique? I just would like to see what im doing wrong.
No mosquito repellent?
I have tried bug spray in the past to no avail. only solution I have seen actually work is to soak your exposed skin in skin so soft, and when they land on you they get stuck and cant bite... usually hoardes of no see ums just mean its time to call it a day. the bugs that live in the marsh, whether its mosquitos or no see ums, will still attack you even with up to 100% deet or permethrin which is military grade bug spray, I have used both, and all bug sprays, and the bugs just laugh a little before digging into your skin. making a flame thrower out of aerasol bug spray and just torching them is probably the most effective use of bug spray.
wow.
Did you not read his reply?
Where exactly do you fish
skankhunt42 I live in Lakewood
skankhunt42 skankhunt42 I like to flounder fish but I would really like to try it out like we're there are does banks
I dont say because the internet shows no remorse in regards to beating up a spot with trash and parking illegally, but the southern half of new jersey has tons of access to sod banks like this. inlet jetties, beaches, front facing jetties, bulkheads, bridges, sod banks.... the beauty of flounder fishing is you can catch them literally everywhere. nowhere is too shallow or too deep to catch flounder. If I were to go flounder fishing this weekend I would not be fishing these sod banks, I would more likely be fishing the deeper water of the inlets or the cooler more oxygenated water of the surf. the fluke are here from april to november, different months are better in different places. these sod banks are usually best early in the season.
Sea-Money Fishing don't worry thanks
Sea-Money Fishing Any good shore spots near Connecticut and Rhode island?
Union beach sod banks?
all of the grubs I buy that come in the plastic packaging with the twister tail are aways crimped and bent making the action in the water terrible. I boil water nice & hot then throw them in there for like 2 min till they're soft then lay them out on a towel or rag to cool down and dry so the tails can straiten out.
Hey money! I live in Florida. . The noseeums. Are so bad.. I've been using a spray I found at wall greens and a lotion which works great on the face and neck it's called morning glory spray and lotion .. it works so good. Spray my clothing and skin not one bite been using it a few years give it a try and guaranteed you will be surprised
Sike bro
You should get a stringer or kill the fish after you catch it. Nice size fish
Been trying to instagram DM you to send you some soft plastics for free, what’s up?
If you could tell me i will appreciated plz
i thought about disliking this video because no one else did lol. way to go man!!
