Finally, someone explains to the masses what DJing in 2024 looks like. Time to send this to everyone that complains or says “they aren’t a real DJ” or “it’s prerecorded” 🤦♂️
It’s premeditated not prerecorded and thats what Good DJs will do. Work on their sets, do their remixes get the party going. There is nothing random or left to chance. Technology also helps. Download yourself a DJ software you will realize it’s not so difficult to sync tunes. It’s not technics MK2 any more which mind you after you do your homework its not that difficult if you have some beat sense in you. But can you be Morten, Guetta, Garix, Tiesto etc Not so easy. It takes grit, years, work and love. Deal with it guys!
I agreed with Morten. Lot of people complain about the new technologies now, they want to use Dj skills to perform but the musics sorry like shit. DJ is just not about the skills how to use the Controllers. Its about the taste of music, preparation and more............
you're right, real djs don't use headphones. but in my opinion they are useful to understand when and if the mixing of the tracks is successful. but you are great and you don't need technical subterfuge. 💙💙
My DJ tutor used a similar approach: the first hour you learn how to hear 2 tracks and understand music from the waveform. Only on the second hour we took the headphones
I dont think you should nit pick about using head phones or not or that's not real Dj ing or not the man created a new musical style creates awesome tracks constantly and tops it off with mind blowing sets as far as im concerned thats as real as it needs to be . Keep doing what you do !!

I get what he’s saying but technically this isn’t “real DJing” you’re doing the bare minimum work (while using effects) to mix in the songs. Morten miggt be a producer before a DJ and that’s totally fine but it’s important people understand that producing and DJing are 2 different ARTS.
Real DJ puts the right song on the right moment. Period. Real DJ is a curator creating a vibe. Doesn't matter if you use new, old, borrowed or blue.
