    Big Vern.... You can go two ways spend a ton of money on a new bike You're getting a little bit more cubic inches and that big fancy touch screen big deal or you can get a 131 motor for 11 grand and blow all them away or buy a kit build your motor up $4,000 for the kit and plus extra for installation You're still cheaper than a brand new bike

    • @Bigvernsmotolife
      @Bigvernsmotolife  5 месяцев назад +3

      Rob, that's a great point I have mad respect for those 131 I seen it firsthand those things can rip, by the way your bike is freaking badass. My only problem that I have is that my bike is a 2018 and I have been looking at resale value. I came across a few older bikes that had motor work done I found out that even with the motor work they still weren't able to get a bigger profit because the bike was a older model. On the other hand you're right my bike has only $3,000 Miles on it and has a lot of potential, great comment as always

      @@Bigvernsmotolife well you're talking about resale value so many years after you buy that new 24 you're not going to get what you are going to ask for so you're in the same boat I almost traded my shrink glide straight Bob in for a street glide CVO I'll tell you right now Nice bike but for $58 ....59,000 what they're asking no thanks I'll keep my bike I don't care what motor has in it or anything and it was the one with the $6,000 paint job

    It’s your call. But my 128 walked away from the 121 big time. Build your motor or get a 6year note. If you put a Stage 4 On it, those 117 new bikes don’t have a chance. Because I have drag 2 2024’s . 117 and 121

    It's a win win !!! Can't ever go wrong with a new bike ! Really doesn't matter if you build up yours that's probably paid off. So do what you want ! I also thought about getting the new Road Glide because of the new look. Then I had to remember I just paid off my 2019 Street Glide and also did a cam , camplate , new header and slipons . It was easy decision ! I paid a lot for my ride and put additional $5,000 into the cam upgrade. I'll let all my buddies buy the new equipment and appreciate what I already have ! Good luck on your decision , regardless what you do both bikes do the speed limit ! 😅🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺😁

      Jason, I really appreciate that that is great advice either way I go I win my bike is paid off like you so it's really tempting to go ahead and drop a few thousand on some great engine work. I do like the new design of the Road Glide but again like you said our bikes are paid off and I do not want to start any more payments. I really appreciate you dropping some knowledge

    Build your own bike. I brought a 2021 Road Glide standard 107 back in 2021. It was bone stock. Now I’ve added a 129 power pack from s&s that came with 4.3 big bore cylinder, 550 cam, cam plate oil pump, springs,pushrods. I also added a thundermax tuner, 55 mm S&S fuel manifold, Barnett performance clutch, Legends suspension front and back. Knrome Werks full 2-1-2 headers and exhaust. Man I love this bike because I built it. Take all that Harley stock shit outta your bike 😂

    Keep your bike and take it to All American Cycles for an upgrade. George will build it to what you want. And it will be an everyday rider. I ride a 2021 road glide, 2010 road king and a 2013 street glide. I test road the 2024 road glide and fell in love but its hard for me to commit to them payments when my joints are paid off. I'm going to cop me one of those new road glide in two or three years. It will be used with low miles and the hype would have gone down on the new design.

    I was going to do a 131 on my 23 RG ST . I went to Harley and ended up talking about the CVO VVT in Silver . That went no where . Got the price on the motor build and went home. Harley called me a week later and sold me that CVO 5k under MSRP . Gave me really good money for my trade . So I took the CVO . End of the day the CVO will retain better re sale then if I did the 131 . The options the CVO has like inverted forks and other features made more sense, how do you pass that up ? Ended up costing me less than doing a 131 . Love the new bike .

      @Bigvernsmotolife  5 месяцев назад

      Damn!!! That might have been one of the smartest moves ever!! at Harley you played that well when you talk to the salesman for the CVO I bet you were calm and relaxed and kind of acted like it didn't even matter if you got it or not. When you have an attitude like that is perfect because Harley will then try to bend to make you happy instead of the other way around that was a great purchase to get that bike for 5K under and you are right it will hold its resale value way more than a 131 build!!! a good choice my man you are the dude 👊👊
