Glass Speakers Made From Recycled Materials!

      That's awesome! Thrift stores are what allowed me to get started even as a kid with almost no money!

      Try to gather bits and pieces where able, time is your friend.
      Then once you have everything, give it a good few solid attempts.
      Alot of things, you can get cheap or even free, via things like craigs list in some area's, or especially thrift stores.
      As long as you think "eventually" and collect overtime, you will eventually be able to do some pretty neat stuff, if you have the space to store stuff for later that is.

    Looks cool. A nice upgrade for this might be a nice protective case around the top, left, bottom , and right edges/sides with some nice LED's. And possibly a stand so the glass vibrate against any surface you put it on directly.

    Just a suggestion I see you used VHB double sided tape which is fine but I would recommend running a clear continuous bead of silicone around the edge were the speaker meets the glass and around the holes that the wire comes thru. Just my opinion and experience with sound systems.

    I suggest adding some rubber to the bottom of the speakers for extra grip if you havent done this already.

      No, the pairing of the speakers to the cubes was purely based on what I had available! The sound could be better, so It's likely not an ideal setup, but still looks quite cool!

    I actually do have a question though. What kind of background do you have? Did you go to college or learn most stuff on your own (like the engineering stuff)?

      I got my degree in music with a focus on business, but the engineering experience is all from work and personal projects over the years!
