I just hope that whoever does the vocals for the girls get good treatment by the company financially if they are using actual vocalists/rapper’s it’s only fair. This is also good if those that do the vocals wanted to debut but never got the chance in the past but now they do in a different kind of way
I'm thinking the same way too. I've been watching I Can See Your Voice Korea for years, and I've realized that too many talented singers in Korea need to get the recognition they deserve. Virtual idols are the way they can express their talent without having to show their faces. Maybe what is lacking is people will keep saying they are not real idols
well they don't have to promote in music shows, participate in variety shows and stuff... so that's less work and stress ig... and they seem to have gotten attention lately. at least they could use their talent in some way, so don't worry. i think the singers would say something if they actually do not like the idea for these virtual idols to take over the stage or not even take the job in the first place. planning will always be the first step in developing something, so the singers already know what they're getting themselves into before these virtual idols debuted

Of course there is someone behind the voices, but what if they'll do units like NCT. Sometimes we'll get the AI version and sometimes the real ones. It will resemble aespa but they rarely use the AI version..
Must say, the mocab is really good everywhere except the eyes. Giving soulless a tiny bit but overall really impressive. Good job to whoever is behind this and the dancers. uhm, it is a thing. It’s not just to the side, the main vocal can also stand at the center belting and having a moment. Some idols even parody it if they’re covering another song and the high note comes up

The entire point of AI is to have no real people behind them. They don’t have to credit them, pay them for their talent, they won’t have any leverage for their fame, they won’t ever get sick, they won’t ever gain weight, they won’t “need” plastic surgery, they won’t age, they’ll always be perfect and perfectly exploitable. Honestly I don't see animated/Ai/whatever groups as real groups & I can't bring myself to equate them with real people; however, if I have to see this from the digital side, it's just amazing and truly well done. Whoever designed everything for them and whoever did the animation and voice over etc indeed did a great job. I love it not as a kpop group, but as an art & animation & music lover. They can't be compared to real people but the job people behind this have done is well appreciated. Seriously it's unbelievable how far technology has come today!
I feel this is the wave of AI youtubers and Idols that has been so popular in Japan, washing over Korea as well. It's still begs for that discussion whether they should be considered real or not, an animated person. So you're not alone, I myself find it quite hard to believe anyone would sit in the Music show and watch and cheer for their performance. Not because the group Is bad or anything but because they are not really there. To those of us, watching from our mobile devices, it makes no difference since we are watching from a screen, but to someone who makes themselves present ay a show, how do they watch them?
It's gonna be a new experience honestly. As I said they can't be compared to real people but watching them perform as a new technology is so fun in my opinion. It shows how the new technology works and how real people worked so hard to make it happen. I would've watched them perform too; but as I said earlier again, not as kpop idols but as someone who loves this side of technology, animation & in general art & digital art. It depends from which side you look at it.

I'm pretty sure the vocals are a result of dozens of voices blended together through AI. So that the company takes all the credit. Since 1 AI's voice here is the result of 20 real life girls, it's like the voice no longer belongs to any of them.

They’re just the voice though, to advocate for their recognition over the “idols” doesn’t make sense, if they wanted that kind of recognition they would just be regular idols/singers. Realistic? It’s pretty easy to tell that they’re not human, but for sure CGI has gotten better these days (still not 100% there bc the dances do look a bit “robotic” and stiff at points)

The entire point of AI is to have no real people behind them. They don’t have to credit them, pay them for their talent, they won’t have any leverage for their fame, they won’t ever get sick, they won’t ever gain weight, they won’t “need” plastic surgery, they won’t age, they’ll always be perfect and perfectly exploitable. Pure profit once they get the tech down.

Honestly I don't see animated/Ai/whatever groups as real groups & I can't bring myself to equate them with real people; however, if I have to see this from the digital side, it's just amazing and truly well done. Whoever designed everything for them and whoever did the animation and voice over etc indeed did a great job. I love it not as a kpop group, but as an art & animation & music lover. They can't be compared to real people but the job people behind this have done is well appreciated. Seriously it's unbelievable how far technology has come today!

So you're not alone, I myself find it quite hard to believe anyone would sit in the Music show and watch and cheer for their performance. Not because the group Is bad or anything but because they are not really there. To those of us, watching from our mobile devices, it makes no difference since we are watching from a screen, but to someone who makes themselves present ay a show, how do they watch them?
It's gonna be a new experience honestly. As I said they can't be compared to real people but watching them perform as a new technology is so fun in my opinion. It shows how the new technology works and how real people worked so hard to make it happen. I would've watched them perform too; but as I said earlier again, not as kpop idols but as someone who loves this side of technology, animation & in general art & digital art. It depends from which side you look at it.

I'm pretty sure the vocals are a result of dozens of voices blended together through AI. So that the company takes all the credit. Since 1 AI's voice here is the result of 20 real life girls, it's like the voice no longer belongs to any of them.

They’re just the voice though, to advocate for their recognition over the “idols” doesn’t make sense, if they wanted that kind of recognition they would just be regular idols/singers. It’s important to give credit to everyone involved in the project obviously, but it seems like a lot of people want to treat the singers behind mave as some kind of secondary idols in the group when they are just another part of the huge group of people working behind mave.

If it continues like this, the labels will stop debuting normal idols, living people. Only AI that we will not be able to get to know like another human being, because everything will be a script. People who will hide behind them will also be unreachable for us. People with talents will be pushed aside and replaced by something that doesn't exist and have no feelings.
I don't like it anymore. Labels strive for complete excellence in their idols. Now they do plastic surgery and train them. AI will actually be drawn, changed and created to match the highest standards of beauty. We will stan their beauty without knowing who gave them the movements and the voice. No idol will stand a chance with them, and society will have too high standards.
