I'm not gonna lie, when I saw the band name / song title combination I was fully ready for this to be more of that "modern folk metal" style (heavy on the "folk", light on the "metal") which is so popular nowadays to the point of getting oversaturated and tiring. What a pleasant surprise. This is fantastic
Amazing to hear such dark power and impressive weight in any detail of the song. A tiny tear drop of old Gojira guitar power found it's way into this and of course the dense and overwhelming soundscape of Iotunn! Please more of this! And congrats for such an amazing audio engineering work that brings back the intense early 2000's vibes!
My favorite "new find" of the last six years or so. Just superb atmosphere in the music they create heightened by Jon's otherworldly vocal talent. I hope that they finally receive the acknowledgement that they so richly deserve on a worldwide scale.

They've really stepped up their riffing from the previous album. But instead of sacrificing the vocals, both the deep growls, and the soaring opera are here and still as good (maybe even better than last time). Very excited.
I had to get a grip on the balcony when the clear voice kicked in... I'd just wanted to smoke a cigarette when RUclips dropped it on the first place, and I got it a go completely unaware. Next time I'll strap myself before I listen any of their songs, health and safety first. 😂😂😂😂
