    I love this video, it’s very relaxing and easy to listen to. Most fishtubers out there who make videos like this are like shouting in your face and showing you unrelated things to extend the video out, but not you; you’re authentic :)

    Zuchini is where it’s at. I love this fish and hated that they didn’t survive long when I’d get them. But man if you give them Zuchini they are happy and get big. No deaths on the last batch I bought. They all are getting swole. They’ll get to it if you just leave it in there a couple days. blanch the Zuchini slices for 1 minute in boiling water.
    Hadn’t heard of feeding them those worms.

    I've tried cucumber, zucchini, and peas. Also tried Repashy that my plecos like. Mine (actually Paraotocinclus I have) will nibble the peas and Repashy but don't eat much. They will however eat cheap tropical flakes that make it to the bottom. I'm gonna try this trick with tubifex!

    I’ve had plenty of success with blanched green beans and cucumber, but they still prefer algae wafers over those

    Mine like pears tried it the other day the female looks like she’s carrying eggs now she’s gone huge I was thinking they could breed in the wild at the time of year when fruits fall into streams were they live I also added aquarium salt and done a 30 percent water change a couple of days before

    Mine love zucchini , so do my fish, I just cut lengthways and use a rubber band to attach it to their tank ornament. I also get little green pellets, they smell like algae , they love those. I'm going to try the tubifex worms.

    I have a betta, tetras, and kuhli louches with my otocinclus and they eat the defrosted blood worms too. I was shocked! They love cucumbers for me, I just slice 1 a day and 3 of my 7 are on it as I type this.

    • @AmB39

      @@AmB39 try a longer cucumber diagonal slice exposing more of the inner part, don't boil it, mine like them raw. They also first like to eat the middle part first, the skin last. I place on the sand with a small rock on top to keep it from floating to the surface. I find if the slice is long enough they will eventually swim and sit on it and thus discover the food.

      Our silver dollar fish plays basketball with the algae pellets, she chases them, catches them and pops them between her teeth then let's the pellet go and catches it over and over. We named her 23 after a basketball player, very funny to watch.

    Ok, I’m not going to scroll through any more comments, but tubifex and bloodworms are two completely different animals. Tubifex is a type of aquatic worm, not a brand name.

    Those are not freeze dried bloodworms. They are freeze dried tubifex worms. Tubifex worms grow in sludge. Bloodworms are the larval stage of the midge fly. It was bothering me. Good advice otherwise. I just got otocinculus 4 days ago. So far they have taken algae wafers and canned green beans.

    Hi there, good info. What do you do with the tetras in the tank? My problem with feeding oto's with the tetras in the tank is the tetras eat everything lightning quick to a point where I think they are.going to die. Do the tetras leave this feeding stick alone?

    • @AmB39
      @AmB39  4 года назад

      They nibble at it a bit but they don’t gorge themselves. Maybe just feed the tetras some pellets before putting in the stick so they’re somewhat full.

      @@AmB39 thanks for the response. I dunno my Tetras eat until huge if I am not careful. It looks like they are going to explode. I tried just that today with a sinking oto food and the cleared their food and the oto food in 40 seconds. They are insane! I hear oto is nocturnal too so maybe planting food at night when lights are off is the key. I will give your method a shot too. Thanks again!

    • @AmB39
      @AmB39  4 года назад +2

      That’s odd. My tetras don’t eat that much. My guppies are ravenous though. Try using a large piece of the tubifex...enough that they can’t eat it all, and remove whatever’s left after ten or so hours to give the otos a chance to get to it.

      Too many for tank size cause Otos to starve to death. I suggest 1 per 10 Gallons. It's not the water volume but the Surface Area of the Tank and whatever plants and ornaments are in the water.
      I have 6 in a 65 USG. Generally, they are solitary or 2 within a few inches of each other. The only time they shoal is when I do a Water Change, then I see 5 together and the Lone Ranger maybe 6 to 8 inches away.

    Complete Troll Shitpost for laughs-
    Intro Music: You got a thumbs up.
    Selling me fish food: I know who your demonic sponsors are!!!
    Two fish tanks: Aquatic slave master! Wicked ways.
    Beard and Chesthair: Trying to seduce us? Unsubscribing.
    Beta Fish: That thing is beautiful. I'll keep watching.
    No Jesus Fish: Sorry bro. But those guys are going to fishie hell. They never found fish Christ in the book of Bobble.
    Algae Eaters: Where art Thou? Another deception!!!
    Just teasing bro. Also that shrimp was cool.
    I've only had Betas and like goldfish before.
    Maybe having seahorses would be cool. But I don't know the depth, salinization, ph level of the water to keep them.
    Most pets I don't keep. Simply because I'm a poor animal caretaker. Like I try my best, but it often doesn't work out. So I stick to dogs.
    Thanks for the tour. I'm still unsubscribing. Lol
