Hahaha she said Nollywood started in Igbo language and in Igbo land so she just took it back to the roots. Nice one lion hearted woman. Genny worldwide!!
That was not Nollywood, that was in the class of the New Masquerade of Chief Zebrudaya of NTA Owerri and Aba axis. Totally different from Nollywood. It's better they take Nollywood back to Igbo land and based on Igbo culture and language to stop this useless bastardization of Nollywood
You just have to adore Genny Nnaji for her big brains and goodness. Nigeria to the world right there. Massive congratulations to everyone who partook in LionHeart. This is just the beginning. I particularly so much just love how Genny gave accolades to Osuofia by bowing as he came on stage. Talk about Respect. Legendary!
Genny is one lady I have followed from childhood to adulthood. Always been my best, intelligent, calm, and focused and patience. If am asked to choose a million times, it will still be you. The inspiration I draw from you is something to write home about. I am proud of you, we the Ada Igbos are proud of you, Africans are proud of you, the world is proud of you. Thanks for taking Nigeria to the world.
Immediately Genny started crying, I joined her, she stopped but am still crying, but for her success. I love you and I thank God for your success. Nkem Owoh my correct actor, bravo!
Genevieve Nnaji you are exceptional . This is the top coronation well deserved for the decades of hard work and quality work you have put in the African movies . No one in history , past or future , can claim that they are the first to tear down the walls and have brought African Movies to the mainstream on the international stage as an actress , a director and a producer ; but you did it . LOVE YOU FOREVER ! GRATEFUL TO YOU FOREVER !
She's always been my best nollywood actor from way back. I am Cameroonian and Queen G has been very consistent and takes time to bring out stuff. She doesn't appear in lotta films of recent but each time she does, it's amazing. Great people...
I am so happy and proud of Nollywood. This has been a long time coming! I have been watching African movies for over 20 yrs now.(Who remembers the movie "Making of the King") I have watched my actors grow up on screen, get married, have their children.... I have seen some of my favourites die and some changing careers.... I have enjoyed the sound tracks, the directors and makeup artists and I am enjoying all the new upcoming actors. I have enjoyed the story lines because the are so reflective of real life in any culture. I wish Nollywood all the best..A candle cannot be hidden under a bush forever!
Yes, you are right. Nollywood has to go back to it's root in Igbo land and developed in it's original Igbo language and culture, before the hijackers came on board and started bastardizing the industry
I'm very proud of Genny. She is a lot of things to me. I discovered her uniqueness since I was very tender . I call her my Dove! Look at how she brilliantly gave a world class answer to all the questions. Beauty really goes beyond physical looks alone, but character and intelligence also. I want to specially thank Mr. Nkem for believing in Genny and giving her all the support.
Congratulations Genevieve, I see her becoming one of the most powerful and greatest women in d world in d future. She's has a solid, gud foundation and she's actually heading somewhere. Once again keep up ur good work...God bless U!
Great! However, this is not the first Nollywood product on Netflix. We've had October 1 (one) by the maestro, Kunle Afolayan on Netflix since 2015 thereabout. Cheers.
She is so so unique... having Uncle Nkem Owoh, Sir Pete Edochie and herself in the movie is definitely a blockbuster. I like Gene cos she always stands out. She doesn't do something cos she sees others doing... she does her thing her way... and that is the niche. Many congrats Gene and continue making us proud... kudos!!
I totally enjoyed this Q & A video. The questions were adequately answered. So very proud of Genny and Chinny. A big thank you to Uncle Nkem Owoh and the other cast and crew members of the film for seeing and believing in their vision enough to support them. Alice Greg and without Nigeria, where would nollywood be? Lol look at the credits for the movie. Many Yoruba and Hausa/Fulani people involved. Heck the cinematography people are praising was done by a Yoruba guy. If Nigerians refuses to watch the movie, it will crash and Netflix won’t be interested in doing any business again. This is the first movie Netflix supported and won’t be the last. If there are more Yoruba actors in the next film, maybe yorubas should say it’s their movie, not Nigeria’s
