As a smoker (now a vaper) myself, I can confirm this habit. Usually on smoking break, we smokers started with daily life or families and whatnot... But someway, somehow, when you have your smoking break in your office, it's always turn into job discussion and deciding something important while you're relaxed.
We had a smoking room in one office I worked at...most of our meetings etc ended up there. The VP gave us all shit once for never being in our offices....lol. Then when they got rid of it, we'd be outside discussing various business items. He came out one time "didn't you hear them paging you to shipping"? Nope...."I guess i have to put a speaker out here now" and yes, I worked for another office who did that: they connected an outdoor speaker to the smoking area so we could hear our pages" lol.

after seeing, i get reminded of how most of my friends group(since childhood we've been together), I have remained far from smoking or alcohol, even after been coaxed by my friends. I have nothing against people who indulge into these, but really I would never put my body through that junk for some high. Am really proud of it.
Same with me, my mom’s an ex-addict, so I’ve never wanted to do any of those, and shows like friends and boy meets world, which didn’t glamorize things like smoking and drinking, really helped me, being it seemed everyone did it and I was the only one.
It was kind of written on the wall for me. My parents smoked like chimneys and the car would be full of smoke. By the time I was 12 I already had a 2 pack a day habit. What ticks me off is they both quit after I moved out and here I am stuck with it. Yes, I've tried to quit a number of times with zero success and a whole lotta agony.
Both are very bad, but obese people are only trouble for themselves (and people next to them in trasportation), while everyone around smokers is affected.

That is what many do not get about Rachel, she is probably the most redeemable of the six, starting off as a very spoiled, lazy brat, changing into a respectable career woman and mom. But they just blinded by their hate of Ross and Rachel stuff only.
I have also thought that the show kinda bookends Rachel's career, starting without a job and then working her way up continually getting jobs she is better at and likes better to her about to leave for Paris. Everyone else has ups and downs in their careers, or it never seems to change (Chandler), Rachel's downs always seem to be minor

i understand this so well. usually after i smoke i just take a quick walk outside the house and the smell just goes away. it also depends on the cigarettes you smoke. hot ones smells stronger than the cold ones. so if you want less smell, take the cold ones haha
