Thanks for the kind words Lee! If you manage to get to Imperial Dunes remember the signs that say to report any suspicious activity and keep an eye out for a crazy man dressed in black playing with his toys.
That's pretty cool Kevin. I've seen all your videos going to Star Wars locations. The only film location I've ever visited is in Nelson, Canada of all places. That's where they filmed Roxanne with Steve Martin. We didn't even know where we were until we read the local brochures. Nothing like visiting Star Wars locations across the globe, but it's exciting going to these places. A little piece of cinematic history.
I know Nelson, it's not too far from here. A friend of mine moved there when he retired, perhaps someday when travel is allowed again I might go visit him. Too bad the only really big original Star Wars location left is Tunisia. Unless those folks stop rioting sometime soon I doubt I'll ever go there.
This is such an epic video! Thank you for gifting this jedi masterpiece to all the star wars fans! May I Ask, what road did you park on? A road near buttercup valley? I'm hoping to try this adventure soon!
My pleasure John! I detailed the trip a bit more on my website. I know RUclips usually places website comments in Potential SPAM so I'm going to paste the address here but with gaps ... if this doesn't get you there I put a link in the description of the video too. www .computerspacefan .com / Yuma. htm Short version, yes we were on buttercup valley road.
Kevin, had to bite my lips to not laugh you out there in hottest part of the day in ALL BLACK! Can we talk about heatstroke?😁 Really enjoyed this one! And a final question...did you, in fact, catch the 3:10 to Yuma?:🤔 Only movie locations I researched and visited was for that masterpiece Sideways. I stayed in Solvang CA and drove to all locations. Even tasted wine in the tasting room where Miles asks Jack whether he is chewing gum. The server complimented me on my palate which picked out hints of gooseberry in the wine. Miles would have been proud.😆
Heh heh glad you liked it Vanda! Yeah me out in the hot Arizona sun dressed head to toe in black playing with dolls ... no WONDER the guy in the dune buggy stopped near the "report suspicious activity" sign. Nope, no three ten for us. Yuma itself was a nice town to visit though. So when you did the wine tour did they give any prizes to anyone who yells "not a fucking Merlot!" ?
@@DowntheRabbitHole0 Lol I did my own itinerary so it was my personal solo tour. I did go to the restaurant outside which Miles had his little rant. That was in a cute tiny town called Los Olivos, it's the Los Olivos Wine Merchant & Cafe. It was actually reconfigured for the movie as it does not have tables along the wall with the wines. They had tables outside on the little porch in front so I sat there. I think I ordered a glass of Merlot actually, as it tickled my sense of humor. It's a lovely area, the Santa Ynez valley. The locations are easy to get to. Very pleasant drive.😊
This is amazing! I'm vacationing in AZ right now and found this video. Next time I'm out here, I'm definitely going down to Yuma. I envy you, sir.

@@DowntheRabbitHole0 as a fellow star wars fan, I see nothing suspicious lol
Cool vid, Kev. I got to go to Tikal a couple of years back so can relate somewhat 🤘👽🤘
I'd love to go to Tikal (already have the Rebel Trooper gear) but admittedly it's a long way to go for one or two shots
