Love the idea of Aroujo. Serious baller, but I don't think we can afford him. Like the Barkley link. Played well at Luton, and he's good for squad depth. He's not free though, its a nominal fee. He's also versatile, can play as a 6, 8, or 10
We have been linked with 3 free transfers. Ihanacheo, Ndidi and Hermoso. Worthwhile squad players

Gallagher is quality! Araujo is ok but prone to losing his head and picking up silly bookings and reds. Barkley for free wouldn't be the end of the world but surely there are better options!
mings is our best defender we have been poor at teh back without him we need him playing in almost every game
@ricclark8162 with all due respect, not only is Mings not the best CB at AVFC. He isnt even in the top 3. He is behind Pau, Konsa and Carlos. Mings is good but we all know he has at least one "Hand grenade" per game.

@@ricclark8162 you are correct friend, we can disagree. As it seems we do, for i beleive Ezri is our best defender, and by quite some distance.

Trouble with looking at selling Ramsey or mings is they were injured all season so Thier market value is going to be lower than it should be

Finding buyers for all of those players could prove a test... But I agree that it has to be an equally busy summer in terms of outgoings!
rodgers is the equal or better than ramsey,, rodgers stronger ramsey maby more fleet of foot but both excellent for our needs,,,
I dont understand the Barclay signing. We are Champions League next season and Barclay is 30 and past it for CL level. If it’s a ‘free’ and he is coming in as a Squad player, then maybe but hardly a priority.
Think its going to be loan players in restricted wat we can spend the money clubs will get the top talent this is wat we are up against the powers that be dont want us invading their space trust in emery utv

Really want to keep Jacob Ramsey. Selling him...regardless of pure profit...goes against everything that football shiuld he about. Blooding your honegrown players and turning them into one of the best in the league in their position. Remember last season?
We love JJ here too - we'd hate to sell him.

He wasn't that great at Villa, but improved dramatically at Luton.
I agree his time with us wasn't great for many reasons including his attitude. But he has clearly turned a personal corner and reinvented himself by sheer hard work. What people who haven't watched Luton don't realise that he is not playing the same position as he did with us. He is deeper, isn't focused on the offensive side as a #10 wld be.
