Wow!! Simply Wow. I was mesmerized sitting on the edge of my seat. As if I was part of a dream. The music, the cinematography are beyond amazing. Thank you for creating this video. The best !!!
What a great discovery! Your video is fantastic, well organized and very helpful as we plan our hikes in Iceland for July. The criteria for trail selection are perfect for us. You are excellent guides and the landscapes are stunning in every way. It's also nice to get a realistic sense of the weather, unlike many videos that show mostly sunshine. (We live in Oregon USA, with very similar weather through much of the year.) Thanks so much, and we look forward to your next post.
You make me miss my home. I am watching this, where I live now, in Sweden. You really capture the feeling of being completely alone, in the wilderness with your beautiful video. I miss the feeling of the power in the nature. Icelandic is difficult, so I am told, and you did allright.
Great production! And all of this in just 7 days. At first, I was sceptic that you'll just cover the typical tourist spots but there were some great hidden gems in this.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! This is the best guide to Iceland hiking trails that I’ve found. As I plan my trip to Iceland, this is so helpful. From Louisiana in the USA.
Amazing vlog guys ❤ Have been lucky to visit Iceland 7 times and have been to many of the sites you’ve shown and lucky enough to see that very volcano erupting 🌋 Thanks for sharing 👍
I'm from the Netherlands and planning to go to Iceland in a few weeks. Your video is so helpful for picking the nicest trails to hike! Thank you! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Wonderful footage! We’re traveling to Iceland in September from here in the US and watching lots of these videos about Iceland. Yours is one of the best we’ve seen, for sure! Well done.
ok, so this is one of the best vids I've seen. Im going in June to Iceland and want to do the ring road clockwise, so this was v helpful. Your commentary was a plus :) awesome guys, thanks for sharing. Aisa here from NYC :) Happy New Year.
wow, exactly what ive been looking for. You did amazing work with the drone and with editing. so excited to see these places myself in August, thank you!
Excellent video. And I like your sense of humor. We'll be visiting Iceland this August/September and will be using this video for reference. From Indiana, USA.
very useful video, the kind of travel guide I like. Lots of beautiful shots and more importantly lots of helpful and useful information in a humorous way, which I appreciate. You listed some hikes I didn't know about and will add to my list for my trip in August. Thank you from NYC!
Wow! You two did an amazing video. Mesmerizing! Love your commentary and music. We live in Rhode Island and will be going in a few weeks. This has been so helpful! Cringed at the rental damage. Have heard about this so already checked to be sure we have coverage. Everything is expensive enough and getting worse. This was magical. Subscribed😊
Yes. However, as we said in the video - while we were there, we met at least 3 people (groups) that went TO the entrance but didn't know that it can be entered. So, even if you get there, it can still be a little secret. :)
I really enjoyed this video and i'm so glad i found it. I'm going to try and find some group tours that go through at least most of these trails. thank you so much!
Thanks for video. Great production. We visited Iceland in 2021 and we're very impressed. Hvannagil canyon is my one of the top thre points in this journey. We hiked it above the canyon (16km loop from Basar campsite). But we also had a most huge failure. The last day, before the flight back we planned to visit eruption near Keflavik (that just walked up five days before and we were on the opposite side of island at this moment). But ... the weather was so bad, that rangers closed any option to visit this point. Tears 😭.
Hey, interestingly enough we had almost the same experience. The weather was so stormy that it was oficially warned not to do the hike. But we did it. The wind was the heaviest we have ever experienced. But you’ll have to visit the volcano again! ☺️
@@markusrosehill when we came to Iceland it was absolutely sleeping. We made a trail Laugavegur, received a car and started clockwise journey around the island. We were smth about after Acuary when the eruption began. Yes. You absolutely right, we have a reason to return. But this year I wold like to continue exploring Pyrenees. You video from Ordess park is absolutely amazing. Last summer we hikied from Cauterets to Torla via Gavarnie and Bresh Du Roland. Now I very want to continue. Thank you for yours videos, it is very motivating 🙂👍
Hello Markus, Stunning movie!!! The 30mn seem very short. I just did a road trip (in solo): 2,800km driving + 180km hiking. Also had the chance to hike towards the Hitli Hrutur erupting volcano. Magnificent country. Fell in love of it. In which period was your trip? Amazing spots!!! Thanks for sharing. Jack
Hi Jacques! Thank you. ☺️ We did the trip in late May, early June. The volcano hike was one of the most impressive things I’ve ever done. I’m glad you managed to see the eruption as well! 👏
I was wading through a lot of garbage and then came across your content. Thank you! You guys are great! We are heading to Iceland 🇮🇸 in a couple of weeks and this video was so helpful. What drone are you using and are you using ND filters? Please keep up the great work and thank you!
Sorry a few more questions 1. What type of shoes/socks do you have on when crossing the rivers? 2. How many mini 2 batteries did you have on you to film all the drone footage? 3. Did you guys camp the whole time or do you recommend anywhere to stay? 4. Is your drone footage color graded? Looks amazing! Please share any LUTs you used!! Thank you! We are planning in middle of may to go there
1. We used some simple rubber sole shoes without socks. 2. Three. 3. We didn't camp at all. Always in a guest house or hotel. The one we can recommend most, is Hotel Raudaskrida in Þóroddsstaður. 4. Yes, but I had my own LUTs. Enjoy your trip!
Really interesting to see the videos getting to the locations. I didn’t know you could walk up Kirkufell. I’ve done some but not all of those. Two really good walks that don’t require 4x4 are Laugerfell waterfall circle walk in the east and Aldeyjarfoss (south of Godafoss) which are both about 8km from where you park. And if you go to Laugerfell you pass the car park for Hengifoss - another amazing walk
Thanks for the additional trail ideas. Actually, they both were in our initial list but didn't make it into the Top 20 due to the detour that would be necessary. It's an out & back situation in both cases. But will have to do them next time. :)
I was so pleased I found this. Thank you so much for a great itinerary and video footage and info! I was curious to know how many days you did this in, and now I see someone commented you did this in 7 days! WOW!
Wow I’m heading to to Iceland in July for my bday and I want to spend that day hiking, I’m getting more tips and ideas here with your vídeo which is amazing. Thank you for sharing. Amazing.
Wow that ending! Thanks a lot for the tips. I read about the volcano after this video and what to look out for. Is the route clearly designated that it's safe enough to walk there after sunset? I was thinking on seeing sunset there if it's not closed. Thanks in advance!
Thanks for watching! When we went there, it was the first eruption. The current one is at a slightly different spot, so I won't be able to answer your question.

Thank you for the video. Now I have to go to Iceland.
Specially like the dream moment with the plane. Wonder how can you take video from your dream?
Watching from Latvia.
:D Good one! And yes, you should definitely go to Iceland! :)
This was a very interesting video about Iceland. We have seen a lot to plan our one trip and your video is very helpful, because it’s different and gives us new ideas.
Greetings from Manitoba!
Thank you, Kyra! Have a great trip!
@@markusrosehill Thank you, I’m sure we will. 😃
Amazing video. The filming and drone shots were amazing. The waterfall where they recommend that All Trails should remove is breathtaking. I agree that I hope it doesn't become a tourist destination where the trail gets worn out. The way the water fell into the hole was breathtaking.
Thank you, Luis!
Thanks for your video 🇹🇨
You're welcome Megan :)
