*Excellent, a well explained tutorial with no extra frills* , you also took into consideration both rules and exceptions ( If I Click this, this does this, but let Click this instead to get the desired effect we are aiming for in this tutorial ).
    .
You did not assume anyone had pre knowledge you explained yourself as you were moving forward without mistakes on your part.
    .
    Again excellent tutorial.

question, any reason we wouldn't want the pour spout on the bottom? then we wouldn't need to round off and sand the top.

No reason, yes you could flip it 180 degrees. 👍

Hey, I'm trying to make a mould as one of my first projects ever. My free version of fusion won't let me split the mould like you showed. It also has some other issues I found odd. I've worked around those issues, but I'm stuck on how to engrave the air escape grooves for the mould. You omitted them here, and any videos/info that I've found so far hasn't been helpful(having to meticulously click on hundreds of line segments on the model or being extremely limited in what you can engrave and where). I'm just looking to engrave a simple "cross-hatch" or "diamond" or "overlapping large circles" pattern on the faces of the mould. Any advice you have would be appreciated.

Create the pattern on the surface and extrude cut. You could use a symmetrical extrude cut and remove a small amount from both sides of the mould ..if needed. 👍
