You are in USA for 12 years doesnot make your understanding is correct. There will be so many visa extension rejections. I manage more than 50 people and most of them are on H1 or L1 visas (Im in usa for 20 years)

If my application is not approved, I might have to return to India or switch back to my H4 visa. I'm really worried about it, bro.
