NGL, who else thought the final season was trash???
The character, Five falling in love with a mannequin in the future, has been seen before in film and story: Will Smith’s character in the film I am legend, on his daily patrols, always greeted “Fred” and flirted with the video store girl, both mannequins… Tom Hanks in Castaway, grieved over his loss of “Wilson” the volleyball… and first in my mind is the blue blanket attachment of Linus VanPelt
@WestheBestMoore-du8kp that is true! We didn't think about how in films, There were characters that had attachments to objects (like mannequins and the volleyball like what you listed on your comment). Thank you for reminding us about the history of it 😊
I initially enjoyed the Umbrella Academy, much like the Doom Patrol on HBO.
The same occurred in both series where I felt compelled to go back and rewatch previous seasons to keep up with all the plot twist and subtle nuances of the stories. Ultimately it became exhausting, and I am sad to say I did not get to the final episodes… I will get there just not at one serving
I had a similar experience with Doom Patrol. Such a wonderful first season. Such a terrible ending!

The first three seasons are actually pretty good. Great even. Really cool characters if you like superhero stuff!
