Interesting comparison BUT at $12 a shot, I'd rather go buy my bird at the market as it is more of a sure thing!

My 870 patterned so tight with a basic #8 bird load that I wouldn’t hesitate to roll a turkey at 20 yards with a dove load.

It’s only worth it if you are going to use a .410 in my opinion. If you are going to carry a full sized gun with full sized recoil and report then a good lead load works fine. The real magic is carrying a 4lb savage 301 in .410 that still drops turkeys like a rock at 40yards with a $5 tss shell. Doesn’t hurt your shoulder or your ears when it goes off.

Good review. I would just stick with the Remingtons, and experiment with choke tubes if I want to squeak more yardage. We also need to be aware of the energy loss of the pellets at long ranges. Just thinking out loud.

In Denmark the longest legal distance for any bird with a shotgun is 33 yards (30 meters).

For the extra money to shot further with TSS, just use a 22 mag or 223. Save your extra cash.

Cody the turkey is already on the ground even if you don’t shoot him

Tungsten destroyed my favorite turkey gun. If I was forced to hunt with it I would hunt with my recurve. I took my gun in to get fixed but it was to far gone. Tungsten does not give. You would have to have wider choke. But no thanks.
