Use a biotin supplement to grow out the tail, mane and hooves. This mfr makes "Vita Biotin" product that provides 6.25 mg per oz. There are lots of other biotin supplements out there. You will DEFINITELY notice the difference - you may even need to have the hooves trimmed more frequently, from my experience.
