Yeah and think of it as a person playing it with their hands on a real piano it'll sound more realistic if the note are too far won't be as human like but it's all subjective

Depends on your style of music. Sometimes you want those chords to sit in the back and if there's a huge gap between two chords, the huge change in frequency range draws more attention to that change. Doing it this way keeps them consistent and not becoming the center of focus. It's not a hard rule that you do this, just another way to achieve a certain effect.
