That’s how Coach Ramil trust his players. Akala natin magiging service specialist lang siya pero talagang nagtiwala si Coach Ramil. Unlike doon sa isa na di pa nagtiwala kay Alinsug nung sinabing may touch yung spike niya,totoo talagang swerte lang siya sa players.

La Salle being #1 in serving and #2 in receiving and NU being #2 in serving and #1 in receiving, that’s just how you play it, load the services hence, the service errors from both teams. Not to mention DLSU and NU are the best blocking and the best spiking team respectively. WHAT A MATCH & WHAT A MATCHUP. The come-from-behind win of La Salle just made it even sweeter. La Salle not losing a single game against NU this season is truly a payback from S84. Animo La Salle! 💚💚💚

Sobrang match talaga netong 2 teams na to in terms of skills halos sila lang nagaagawan sa 1 & 2 spots. Kaya ang ganda rin talaga ng laban tapos puro 5 sets pa sa finals. New rivalry ika nga.
Coach Ramil knew mahirap iblock at bantayan si Solomon, kaya finocus lahat ng blocking and diggign attention kay Belen (fully shown with Laput's blocking) at Alinsug. With this, Lamina was forced to give majority of the balls to Solomon hanggang sa mapagod na. And on set 3, when Solomon made multiple attacking errors, coach Ramil saw the opportunity. Dang. And the downfall of NU started.
I felt this was the similar technique they did with Valdez with KKD and Baron tandem.

The best epic comeback game of DLSU! Nasa byahe ako sakay ng bus for 4 hrs pauwi ng province namin ng ma lowbat phone ko tas 2 sets to none and standing kaya nawalan na rin ako ng gana and accepted defeat in my mind and extension for Game 3. Pero pinag pray ko na lang na sana lalaban at makuha nila ang remaining sets. Sobrang shock ko ng makauwi ako ng may nakita ako post naipanalo pa pala ng lumots girls ko. DLSU contained THAT performance from Solomon at the right time. Not to mention, they were also able to contain Belen. Heroic individual performances can only do so much.
When DLSU down 2-0 nagprepare na ako foe G3 on Wednesday, but when Laroza came on that crucial 3rd set doon na na-iba ang kwento and Fifi came alive noong set 4-5 and the arsenal of La Salle from Blockings to Floor Defense and their puso doon talaga lumabas ang determination nila to close and win the Game. For me eto na iyong best Finals ng DLSU together with the Season 78. Classic Match talaga. 💚🤍🏹🏆 Congrats ladies and to CRDJ for always having that magic bunot!!!!!!!!

I always want him to coach our national team consistently kc feeling ko may laban tau internationally with his tried&tested system. Pero may politics din kc ang sports. Never engage the Lady Spikers in a 5 setter game. They are very dangerous team to engage in an extended match. Dito mo talaga masasabi kung gaano katatag at galing ng sistema ng DLSU. Kasi aside from honing their players to be all around players, they are also conditioned well to be clutch players. Ang tatapang nila. Galing tlaga. No disrespect to NU Lady bulldogs because they fought valiantly but the remaining 3 sets was more of a mental game na sa mga players. Skills-wise, both teams are top notch. Intangibles, dyan lumamang ang lasalle. Solomon's 34 points is crazy. Maicah Larozza being a spark plug and delivering for her school is worth praising for. :) WHAT A MATCH!

Gumana yung talagang laro nila pagdating ng 3rd set to 5th set. Talagang lumayo yung score ng kalaban. Kay coach ramil kapag laging error ka asahan mo uupo ka ng matagal. 😅 Kudos kay GAGATE grabe effort niya sa 5th set.

It was Larroza who made the team defense stronger in 3rd and 4th set. Obviously her unfamiliar attacks got NU intimidated. Highly commendable as well to Canino receives and attacks, Malaluan cross court queen, Gagate Crucial and Clutch points lalo na pag 5th set nakita ko sa kanya si Jaja Santiago pero different from Jaja na nakakafifth set noon ang NU pero di nakukuha yung panalo under Coach Roger but now Coach Ramil used Gagate very well.
Sharma, Jazareno, and Alba energy made as well the team to be more stable inside. Dela Cruz efforts though to get those Solomon attacks was commendable as well it’s just that she’s all around inside that made coach Ramil to decide and put Larroza.
Shevana Laput attacks, defense, and digs were stable and great. I think she’s the most improved player here and a girl with no pressure at all.
Actually Soreño can deliver naman both serve, attacks, and floor defense kaso if porsyentuhan na Malaluan is much better.
But above all of this, It was a collective effort and teamwork shows that it works until the end for you to win the Championship!

Solomon was unstoppable, she compensated with the silence of Belen and Alinsug. She could've been the Finals MVP if they'd won. Fighting spirit of DLSU just came more dominant here in the Finals. Best UAAP finals so far, if not the best.
This solomon performance made me remember alyssa valdez' time when she used to be the "buhatera" of her team. volleyball is a team sport and DLSU played really well as a team. This Game 2 felt like DLSU vs Solomon. Congrats to DLSU!
Belen and Alinsug were limited because of the net defense of Laput and Gagate having 5 kill blocks each 💚

The UAAP is the best arena to gain experience. Kasi dito talaga mag-build yung confidence. For Shev, maigi talaga na di sya yung kabado sa crowd. Kung may kaba man, di halata. I guess malaking factor yung athletic experience nya abroad. Looking forward to her improvement in the coming years. Thank goodness she decided to shift to vb.
Rdj proved his system really works. Need mo magtiwala sa kanya at magtitiwala sya sayo. Sobrang mismatch ung tapatan ni laroza at solomon, ang laki ng height difference. Pero sinubok nya pa din. Laroza deserves commendations and recognitions kasi grabe ung impact.
NU - nabantayan si belen. Alam ng dlsu na even if scoring machine si solomon, mas prone syang mablock at mapagod. Kaya mas nag concentrate sila lay belen kasi mas all around si belen. Ung MBs ng team, bumaba nung set 3 onwards, sayang si pangilinan. Alinsug, rookie pa kasi kaya puro deretso blockers ang palo. Sayang at last playing year na ni robles, magaling din naman sya.

Maicah is spectacularly efficient todayyy 🏹💚 Naalala ko tuloy yung episode sa Slam Dunk na may kalaban si Hanamichi na maliit na player tapos na-caught off guard sila. Same with Maicah nobody expected her to linger after serving, pero nagfrontline pa, nakapalo pa. What else is CRDJ planning for this girl? Bakit ayaw nya pa umupo? Doon siguro nagstart yung uncertainty ng NU.
DLSU started to get confident pero ang nakakapagtaka is Coach Karl just letting them do it.

Di din nila gets na hindi pataasan ng individual points ng players yan. Dapat lahat may contribution, team effort dapat. Dlsu spikers may not have solomon- and belen- like scoring machines, compensated ng balance offense and defense nila. Kung ikaw ang kalaban, di mo alam sino dapat bantayan, lasi lahat sila threat. Unlike sa UST halimbawa, alam na ng lahat na si eya ang go to person, sya babantayan ng husto.

My siblings who aren't volleyball fans were watching with me.
Inaasar na nila ako knowing na I'm an avid fan since Manilla Santos.
"Hala talo na La Salle mo" asar nila. I was quiet and keeping my composure, alam ko naman inaalaska lang nila ako. Pinipigil ko umiyak. I was praying silently.
Nahalata nila how disheartened I was as the game progress. Hindi na ako nagsasalita, my eyes welled up all of a sudden at the start of 3rd set.
Naawa siguro sila sakin, yun, they stop their banter and started cheering for La Salle.
My kuya said, wag ka kasi mawalan ng pag-asa, hindi pa tapos ang game. Yun, talon na sila ng talon every point ng La Salle. I know they're just doing that para pasayahin ako. Alam ko naman kasing wala silang pakialam sa Volleyball, pero may pakialam sila sa akin 💚💚💚.
Thank you kuya and bunso for cheering La Salle when I'm about to give up. Ang saya nila nung nanalo ang La Salle.

I want to commend Alyssa Solomon with this game. She's really unstoppable and on fire. Her spikes was so fast and powerful. I mean the confidence she has in this game was totally insane and different in their previous game. She's in the business talaga kahapon. Hope next season she will become like this in every games. It's so scary to dig her spikes when she's in the beastmode. Again, she's unstoppable and powerful spiker. Let's go, Aly!!! Boost your confidence more!!!
Things changed when Laput was fielded. It's almost like Belen was scared of her. She couldn't score when Laput was in front of her. But on the other hand, it took two giants (Laput and Gagate) to stop her.
Solomon, wow. My new favorite player after the 6'5 Santiago has turned her back on us.
That line up of La Salle was just too much. Giants all over the place. Strategies. Fighting spirit. Determination. All conspired to accomplish their goal of bringing back the throne to Taft.

Prior to 2017 si Coach Ramil ay magcoach din dapat. May team na nanabuo, prime pa nina Dinac, Aby at Iba pa pero bigla sila na dismantle. Naging hanging sila noon. At di na nga natuloy sa SEAGAMES. Ganun ka lala ang PNVF at pulitika sa Pilipinas. Kahit di magaling or dominant basta madaming fans, pasok yun kagad!

The reverse sweep that no one expected. Larroza, the Magic Bunot, deserves all the praises for bringing that positive vibes to the girls. Kudos also to the FMVP and Captain Mars for the very well done job. She was never tired, she never gave up, she proved to every basher that she deserves a CHAMPION title. Kudos also to Jols, our heart and soul - Jolina, whose dream was fulfilled through this game. She gave her all and become the root of hope for every point. Lastly, a round of applause to Coach RDJ for bringing the best out of these girls.

This may be a late comment.
But, after looking at the scores per set alone, I think NU started the game hot and heavy from their peak level in order break away from La Salle late in the 1st set at 25-19.
La Salle started heating up and kicking into high gear sa 2nd set pa lang, but still fell short kaya 25-23 ang katapusan ng set still in favor of the cruising NU Lady Bulldogs.
By the 3rd set, NU lost a lot of steam when their gameplay dipped sharply and deteriorated quickly to the level of their first round matchup nitong S85; while LaSalle took the set at 15-25 after CRDJ came up with the timely Larroza adjustment, and the Lady Spikers even kicked further into higher gear.
In the 4th set, NU mustered enough power, but only to end up almost like in their 3rd set closing at only 17-25 na parang first round matchup pa rin nila nitong S85; while La Salle kept their momentum going up towards their peak.
Sa kanilang naging race-to-fifteen in the clincher 5th set, halatang napagod, pinanghinaan ng loob, at nawalan ng kompyansa ang NU; while La Salle already confidently cruised towards the Championship, lalo na noong tinodo na ni Gagate ang kanyang malalakas na panapos from the eleventh to the championship points sa closing na 10-15.

so here's the story of dlsu vs nu finals game 2 goes. Unstoppable Solomon with 34 BIG points and a career high but wasn't enough to carry the team to a deciding game 3. DLSU's superb net defense tallying 16 big block points from these Goliaths. Well, what do we expect from no. 1 blocking team(DLSU) and no. 1 attacking team(NU) ?
This game shows that height WITH skill is might. It wasn't only enough that you are a good player. You should also have a towering height to dominate both offense and defense. NT should invest on players from these teams.

DLSU is really hard to beat when you give them their confidence. Yun ang wala sa kanila nung first two sets. Walang FD walang blockings at walang adjustment sa backrow ni Alyssa. Now, when CRDJ put Laroza inside, that's where their body language shift. She really is the game changer for this Game 2. When they pull away on the set 3 and see that the NU coaches didn't make any adjustments. That's where the momentum shift. This is the only time na super thankful ako sa malalim na bench ng LaSalle because kahit sino ang ipasok mo sa kanila, alam mong mag cocontribute offense or defense. Still kudos to NU tho cause they put up a good fight. Coach Karl Dimaculangan really doesn't have good decision makings and in game adjustment. CONGRATULATIONS Still to both teams. I'm pretty sure we'll still see this rivalry in the future seasons
