1month ago my neighbor offered his 2002 VTX1800R to me for 3 grand. New tires, fork seals, brakes. Immaculate, 1owner. He'd bought a 2nd bike and the Honda just sat there. It's a lot more fun than my Yamaha Zuma !
Awesome. I’m sure you’ll love it as much as I do mine. Lots more VTX on the channel, and always more to come. Thanks for the comment, cheers.
I own two Honda VTX bikes an 07 1300C & 08 1800T. They are great motorcycles that I have no intention of parting with. I wish Honda had continued this line.
Awesome. We should all petition Honda to bring it back..Thanks for the comment. Always more to come.
I lucked upon a 2004 1800c I hear they are rare and I plan on keeping mine. I'm also gonna buy another one lol. Such a great bike.
Finally someone who understands the magic that is the C
Sure do. Pure Wizardry..More to come. Thanks for the comment.
I started riding in 2006 in my late 40s. I bot an 06 VTX 1300 C and still have it, still love it with 48000 mi . It still runs like a top and while I have enjoyed other bikes along the way, the C is the one I’ll ride til she quits. Thanks for the accurate and concise vid!
Thanks. I love it too. Lots of more VTX to come. Stay tuned.
@@NorthernRoadKings y’all should come ride the roads in AR… they are great. Our Bikes Blues & BBQ bike festival is in early Oct. it is a four day deal. When I started riding in 06 it was the fastest growing rally in the US and 6th largest. Now it’s 3rd largest and still fastest growing.
Love my 04 VTX 1300C. I've had it since 2006 I run a memphis shades fairing because I like riding in the cooler temps - not one for the heat of summer. I have national cycle cruiseliner bags on mine (bought used). Upgraded to progressive suspension front and rear, installed all balls roller bearings in the neck. Rides like its on rails. Love the bike - it does everything I need it to do. Even if I were to get another bike - I wouldn't part with my VTX.
Right on! I've been eyeing some batwings myself, I'm hoping to have one installed by the start of the season coming up soon. We have a big year panned for the channel. Stay tuned, lots more VTX to come. Thanks for the comment.
I have found a 2006 model that I am going to look at and possibly buy this weekend. Thank you for such a great, informative video. I feel a lot better about what I may be buying
Glad it was helpful! Lots more to come on the channel. Cheers. Thanks for the comment.
I own such a motorcycle VTX1300C 2005, in my opinion this is the best all-round motorcycle for the city and long trips. the carburetor has its drawbacks, but its pluses are so bold that they cross out all the minuses. most importantly, you can disassemble/assemble the carburetor on the road, you can start the engine by pushing, the VTX 1300 is very simple, it's the Kalashnikov among cruisers. I don’t agree about the roar of the mufflers, the cobra was originally installed, I put home-made ones quieter. Because of the cobra, I was forced to buy a Schubert helmet :) this is an expensive helmet, but even in it the head could hurt from the roar of the exhaust. I want a triumph next bike, 16 hundred.
There are very long distances in Russia, and there is an opportunity to enjoy and feel a good motorcycle completely, to know all its pluses and minuses. VTX is still the best on my list.
Thanks for the comment. I agree with your comment, the VTX is one of the best all around motorcycles. The exhaust I guess would be a personal preference. If you are aiming for quiet, it is not the option to go for. I like the rumble personally, but again it's a personal preference.I also like Triumph. Lot's more VTX on the channel. still more to come.
I bought a 2007 vtx 1300r and a 2006 vtx 1300c this year. The R was perfect and loaded with goodies. The C was stock and had been neglected for 7 years. The engine was seized among other things. I have brought the C back to life. It's amazing how the bikes are basically the same but are totally different. I can't figure out which one I like best.
You may be the worlds luckiest man. lol. Way more VTX to come. Thanks for the comment.
Just ran across your video while researching this bike. Found a 2004 with 9k miles and am seriously considering buying it. Thanks for the info.
You should most definitely buy it. Absolutely love mine. Way more VTX to come on the channel. Enjoy. Cheers.
Definitely buy it, I have the same year and it's bulletproof. 9k miles is barely broken in.
@@NorthernRoadKings I did and this coming Tuesday will be flying one way from Houston to Iowa to pick it and ride it back to Texas. Cant wait!
How the bike working out?
@@NorthernRoadKings Absolutely wonderful! I rode her back to Texas from Iowa (950 miles) over three and a half days and she's flawless. Incredible bike!
Vtx are a great bike i own 2007 1300 R and had 5700 miles still going strong and smooth
Awesome. Always happy to hear of fellow VTX riders out there. Lots more VTX to come on the channel. Thanks for the comment.
Bought one today. Great video!
Awesome. You’ll love it. Always more to come.
Thats what I think. I like the 1 I have .thanks
I ride a 04 VTX 1300C and I love it. I have cobra pipes, mustang seat, and Memphis shade windshield. Last year I went darkside and put a car tire on the back. It's my first bike and could very well be my last. I don't know if I'll ever replace it.
They are irreplaceable for sure. Thanks for the comment. More to come.
Just bought a VT1300 Honda Interstate. It was love at first ride. Hoping to put more miles and smiles.
There is no end to the good times ahead for you. I absolutely love mine. Great bikes. Lots more VTX on the channel and more on the way. Thanks for the comment. Cheers.
I just got my endorsement and license seven months ago and got a Honda shadow 750. I definitely feel like I want to upgrade to the VTX. Seems like a liter bike would be amazing feeling
I love the VTX. You would most definately enjoy the extra power. Thanks for the comment.
Don't make the decision to jump into a motorcycle this large until you have the experience it's not a bike for a newbie your enthusiasm might get you killed please learn the basics first take a couple of safe rider courses not trying to preach I've got over 40yrs in the saddle just want to see another rider achieve the same. Peace and ride well have fun 👍 😎
Solid bike. Honda makes its motorcycles like tanks. It will last a long time.
Thats why there are a lot still on the road, and will be for a long time still. Thanks for the comment.
Hey looking to buy a 2008 vtx 1300 it’s hooked up a lot of aftermarket stuff on it about 27,000 miles they want $5,500 do y’all think that’s a good price or to much?
@@daddyfooyoung3052 I would
great video, very informative! thanks guys!
Our pleasure! Thanks for the comment.
Your bike sounds amazing!
It does! Thanks for the comment.
Good looking bike!! 👍🏻
Thanks..Love it. Thanks for the comment.
Love that bike. Where did you happen to get the windshield
Was on it when I bought it. I'm thinking of upgrading to a batwing for next season. Trying to make the bike more touring. I like the stripped down look better, but it's not practical for what we're doing. Thanks for the comment. Lots more VTX to come on the channel.
I have a 2004 vtx 1300 and I love it. one model you didn't mention was the "S". I think mine is a custom cuz it has stock Honda saddlebags, big boards and pegs, crash bar, windshield etc. However, it has spoked wheels, so some ppl have said mines the "S" I was talking about. Help? Mine is by far closer to the "T" you mentioned, but again, spoke wheels.
I have the R and i love it
Great Bike. Lots more VTX on the channel, and still more videos to come. Thanks for the comment.
Nice bike
What are you looking to ride next
We shall see. Thanks for the comment.
Your bike looks just like my 2006 black vtx1300..
Very nice. I'm working on a video of my favourite riding clips of the VTX from the season. Stay tuned. Thanks for the comment. I hope you get as much enjoyment out of yours as I do from mine.
i have 4 motorcycles. one of witch is a vtx 1800. im still thinking of grabbing a 1300.
I would recommend it. Thanks for the comment. Lots more VTX videos coming.
hello just found your vlog was looking for info on the 2006 Honda vtx. i would like to know the name name the music you play in your videos like this one. Honda VTX 1300 C Motorcycle Review. The ultimate buyers guide. thank you. i really like your videos
We use epidemic sound for all of our music. Hope that helps. Cheers.
It's not 90 lbs of torque per foot. It's 90 foot pounds of torques. :)
Thanks for the clarification..cheers.
I thought the c stands for custom. The R or retro is the more classic. Also you forgot the S which stands for spoke. That's the one I own.
Also a great bike. I was going by the Honda info sheets. I also use to think the C stood for custom. I think they are all great bikes. I wonder if the S was released after the other models? I will look into it. Either way a great addition. Thanks for the comment. Always more content to come. Cheers.
@@NorthernRoadKings Yes, come to think of it I think you are right about the s being released after the other models. I think I remember hearing that. Have a great day.
Did Honda ever offer VTX with fuel injection?
Would the vtx 1300 be decent for a shorter inseam…. Considering the forward controls
I think so. You will find it easy to balance as it is very low to the ground. I would think most people would be able to have both feet flat because of it low seating position. If anything I would think that you may find it more comfortable if your legs are more extended on the pegs. Hope that helps. Cheers. More VTX videos to come.
The R or S (Retro or Retro with spokes) might even be a little better because it has floorboards which is what I have. I have short legs (29 inch inseam) and I find that on the highway I have the room to move my feet back toward me a little so that I don't have to stretch out so far forward for a while. Nevertheless, I really don't have a problem reaching the shifter or brake at all anyway.
You forgot the 1300 S I got the first one 2003
You are correct. I'm going to do another review soon, I'll be sure to mention the S. Sorry for the confusion. Always more VTX to come on the channel. Cheers.
You forgot about the 1300s which is what I have
Thanks for the comment. Great bike.
I thought that the C meant custom.
I use to think the same thing. Thanks for the comment.
@@NorthernRoadKings Some sights say that the C stands for cast because of the cast wheels.
That torque number seems a bit high, the hp a lil as well.
Those are Honda’s numbers bro. Not sure. Thanks for the comment.
Every one of these bikes are low rider bikes including new Harleys what about average American we are not from Philippines or Thailand the bike looks like mini bike to us regardless of engine size.
I’m not sure if you’ve watched the other video’s on our channel, but Scott, the other guy, rides an Indian Chief Dark Horse. The VTX fame is actually bigger than his Indian. I’m not sure why you think it’s a small bike. Thanks for the comment.
@@NorthernRoadKings Because when you sit on it your feet i completely on the ground and if a car hits you will hit your upper buddy these bikes are made for short people the seat probably not more than two feet from the ground just think of it this way imagine motocross or of road bikes with your bike then you know what i mean it is made for Asians big guy won't be comfortable on it and rides it like Yamaha 80cc mini Gt.
I am 6”1 220 LBS. I’m comfortable on it. I’m not sure how else I can get my point across. You don’t like metric cruisers, I get it. It wouldn’t have been my first choice either, but it’s not a small bike. Lower to the ground, sure, the pegs are forward I’m not restricted on it at all. I truly do appreciate your feedback though, just not sure I agree with your assessment completely. Cheers.
@@NorthernRoadKings just when you drive get someone video you from behind then you see what i mean giant guy sitting on mini bike all those bikes are the same low riders made for shorty Philippines,Cheers.
Looks like a cheap Harley knockoff
I like Harley's, one day..The VTX is a solid bike though. Thanks for the comment.
They're cheap and they ride great. Too much plastic to compete with Harley though...
Metric cruiser are great bikes, made by the best engineers on the planet . Harleys made in American have 25% chance of being built by a dude with a vagina .
