I watch a lady doing HST And snow ball corners...i had been using her method for awhile... and i know it works... if you lay your ruler to draw the line... exactly corner to corner... your line is ever so slightly off to one side... so... line up your ruler corner to corner... and draw your line in the direction of the piece you are going to cut off...and it will allow for "TURN OF FABRIC"... which when you fold the corner over... the thread and the 'fold' take up some of the fabric... and your corners will not meet...OR... draw your line EXACTLY.. corner to corner... and sew slightly off the line towards the piece you will cut off... your corners will meet every time... well... almost
