I am currently studying interior design and people don't believe in the idea that you need to study for it because to them it just "putting furniture together" but there's so much more to it. Growing up in an area where everyone chooses to study medicine, accounting, economics etc, choosing something different and taking that step is the most bravest thing I've ever done. Even though I feel like my way of designing does not fit in with the industry, I want stay true to my designs because they are a representation of who I am as an individual. If I lose sight of that and do things a certain way I'd lose myself. Its a constant fight of staying true to myself and being told to water down that part of me, its hard😢. I love the trade and I also have doubts but keep going and learning because honestly we never realize the potential inside of us until we find out how we really feel about our major of choice. Sunset. Hi, Makayla. I can relate to having doubts with what you’re doing in college. I studied in mathematics and statistics in college, even though I was more interested in filmmaking. Now that I’ve graduated from college, I feel satisfied that I learned what I did even if it was an arduous process. What I’m saying is that having doubts about what you’re doing is natural and everybody has their own scheme. You seem to be doing well for yourself despite the obstacles you face, so keep on going and you’ll find yourself a nice gig down the line. Most importantly, make sure you stay intuitive in your endeavors. I also noticed that you did some makeup product promotion for Walmart. That’s incredible because you managed to build up your brand to the point where you’re doing promotion for a larger brand.

Next year I am going to Ball State for a major in media with a concentration in production because when I get older I want to be a film maker and director- if I ever get enough courage- an actor. But I'll be by myself, and shoved out of my comfort zone, it's a hard industry to break through and though I have time, I'm scared. Like really scared. But I'm taking a chance and doing what I love, so I will strive for nothing but the best, try and have fun, and take the days as they go.

Do what you love, not what sounds better to have a steady income right now ❤ I followed a different bachelor than I wanted because I was afraid writing and art was not gonna give me a steady income. I loved my job, but not as much as art. After 10 years I needed to quite because of a physical issue. Now... I am fully focussing on art. So what sounded as a steady income, it wasn't. You can still choose another path if it doesn't work out. Today doesn't determine the rest of your life ❤
