By the way, I am also a Gibson Explorer player (since the early '80's) and love how comfortable the instrument is. Have several other Gibson guitars (Les Pauls and an SG), but this Explorer CMT remains my favorite. Had it re-fretted with 6110 Dunlop fret wire a few years ago and it plays so much better now. I, too, prefer the shorter playing scale of a Gibson. They fit my hands better than a Fender - although I do occasionally play them too when the song calls for it. (or sometimes a Charvel if speed is required) Keep playing, Robert! It's good stuff for the soul!!
