Tbh, I never expected swahili in the natlan music. Pleasant surprise. As a kenyan and a swahili speaker, I've never been more proud of this one. I love hearing exotic instruments incorporated into an orchestra similar to sumeru. That is what made sumeru music so good and that is probably going to happen in natlan as well. Its a fresh taste on music that our ears aren't used to and that's what makes it good
I personally love it too, it amazes me the understanding of music someone has to have to be able to include such a huge variety of instruments that are not so known to people and lyrics as well! I guess it's a team effort but wow it's so unbelievably beautiful ❤ I feel it brings other cultures that aren't that widespread closer to more people and gosh, I can't get enough of that ❤
Yes! As a Tanzanian Swahili speaker I had to listen to the music again! I was so surprised that they used Swahili and love how the language is being shared across this region and amongst other players
The couple playing the panpipes and flutes at 1:38:07 are family friends I’ve known for years. Recently their only son has passed away at the age 14 and I can’t imagine the pain they must be feeling. I’m sure he would’ve been immensely proud that they could spread Peruvian culture through such a famous platform. I wish my condolences and nothing but the best for this family and although it’s been years since I’ve seen them, I hope their son can rest peacefully ❤🇵🇪

Idk if the devs read the comments on the videos or not, but i just want to express ny sincere gratitude to the team at Hoyoverse who has worked on this game for 4 years. Genshin has gotten me through some dark seasons in my life. It has been my escape from many things and has inspired me in different ways through the stories and music. Thank you! A fan since launch! And a fan for life! I'm ready for the next adventure! P.S. I'm having a major surgery next month and will be home for 4 weeks, so the new update couldn't have come at a better time. Best believe imma be exploring Natlan to the fullest!
The Choir and the Orchestral accompanyment is IMMACULATE. As a former orchestral musician myself, I got goosebumps (especially the first piece) as I listened. I am also impressed at the attention to detail in that they brought a whole host of artists well versed in their cultural-based musical traditions. Astute in selection and culturally respectful in execution, I can say with full confidence that their performance was superb. Bravo to all musicians and artists.

As a player from v1.0 its true time flies so fast. When I start playing this game there's only Mondstadt and Liyue. But now we got Inazuma, Sumeru, Fontaine and now Natlan is coming.

Shenhe already runned 3 times, while wrio isn't even getting his first rerun, normally character getting their first rerun soon after release, even counting for Furina (released after Wrio) and Navia (released after him and runned before him making her running as fast as archons). In fact Wrio got the record for the longest time between release and first rerun ever. Not even shenhe needed to wait that long for her first rerun.

It's crazy to me that Natlan is already here. I felt like Fontaine came out yesterday; and it'll just be a year until Snezhnaya is released, and 2 years until we get a possible Abyss or Celestia arc. That basically means we might be at the end of Genshin's story in just a few years.
1.0 player here. I can't believe I stuck around for almost 5 years. It has been an amazing journey with ups and downs. A year from now we'll be meeting with the rest of the Harbingers. Honestly crazy to think about yet here we are.
I know people have been talking about how "genshin doesnt feel the same anymore" but this? This feels like genshin, this is the most excited ive been to explore a new place in a while, and honestlt despite people complaints about it not being "war ravaged" enough, i think both the scenery and the story teasers we got look fuckinv awesome, i think we could actually get some really cool lore here
One thing i would have liked them to explain is why Natlan has always been, since 1.0, the region we had least info about, we only knew of Natlan through bits and pieces of conversations with NPCs and Archons
ISTG they'll say that for every region. If Genshin changes up the aesthetic they'll complain that it doesn't feel like old Genshin. If Genshin stays the same, they'll complain that the game is stagnating. There's no winning against these haters
Nah, man. Genshin treated its community like absolute garbage and forced them to be silent about it. They can't make us forget about the three major incidents they committed. People have to learn to stop defending big companies like these and look further into their mistakes. Also, the player base, for the most part, is awful. Which basically means that good criticism... can't be listened too. I get the hate for people pointing out every little minor detail that triggers them like "not enough dark color skin characters" lol

As a Kenyan, I'm moved to TEARS listening to the song and music. The song is heroic, commanding boldness in the face of death to defend the homeland, which is how we earned our independence and lost many freedom fighters. It is impressive to see Genshin Impact daring to delve into African spirit and culture, especially including Swahili music, lyrics and African instruments. Whoa! Genshin impact forever! 🎉❤👏👏👏

and the people getting angry about representation are either not even players or white themselves most of the time. Mihoyo is insanely good at showing off actual cultures to a certain degree.

the devs have always been good, you can't fake the amount of lore and life put into the world of teyvat with a paycheck and crunch time. The people actually making the game care about it. The problem is the higher-ups who demand to squeeze every tiny cent out of players and be stingy with primos.

Micheal is amazing with his natural style of acting. It is really a delight to see his interaction with Aquaria. It really feels like the Genshin Team has come a long way from clearly reading cue cards to a more natural flow and personal presence. ☺👍
Wow, I was a bit bummed out this was 2 hours and thought I wouldn't watch it, but it was actually very fun for a video that's just supposed to introduce a new patch. I've always respected the devs for sharing the news themselves in a video instead of just patch notes and I love how they changed the heavily scripted variant with a more free and lighthearted appraoch here. The version trailer was awesome, I literally screamed when I saw Mavuika fight Il Capitano, I've been waiting for those two for very long. Also the fact that we're already getting an abyss invasion and we're not even in Kheanri'ah's arc yet is very interesting, I'd been wanting to see the abyss in action. Also the concept of the 6 tribes is pretty cool as well and I'm really excited to explore those as well. And of course the new characters and their traversal mechanics are really something, i've been saving up since the first teaser to get them. But even though I'm a lore fanatic and an oldschool player who enjoys character building and endgame dps checks, I'm most excited about the artifact crafting. I've been waiting and whining for this FOR YEARS, everywhere where there's been a mention of it. And after I've spent months trying to farm my Arlecchino and Clorinde's artifacts and getting, i kid you not a single good piece for what 3-4 months now, I can finally rest easy. And although I intended to skip over the music part because the video really is too long, I'm glad I didn't. Genshin's music team is insane and this is just on another level. I rarely go to concerts but if the next genshin concert is somewhere reasonably near, I'd go without a doubt. Fontaine's music was already on another level but the Natlan one is pure kino.

For those of you that think that Da Wei would never sit down and listen to feedback like shwon in this video, here's a bit of trivia. When the company was first formed, the only person in the entire office of Mihoyo going through the feedback on their games was Da Wei at the time.
This is the longest and by far of the BEST Special Programs ever in Genshin history!!! I'm just so happy they added so many new QoL updates, the animations are complete fire, the singing and traditional instruments are impeccable. We're literally at the 6th nation, we've come this far. Words can't explain how emotional I am. Thank you for giving me such memorable times, Genshin Impact ❤
Im actually quite speechless with the updates with the pulls and everything expecially with characters but the one that made me really happy was... the orchestra like oh my god it was beautiful i would just play that on loop and not get sick of it. But over all even though i came during late sumeru i would say that genshin has been doing well and im excited to see what the future has in store for them!

I was a bit confused on why i felt like i understood the lyrics of the songs that were played because it felt like yapping but after that i realised they sang in Swahili. Never expected such a language to appear in the game
Am I the only one who remembers genshin delaying drip marketing &videos the day WuWa released? They're not scared of competition, plus game dev and QOL changes aren't things that can be done as a reaction. It has to be cooking for months to make 100% sure there's no errors. It's been pretty obvious this is the direction hoyo would take since 3.0. With natlan the game is 1 region away from "final endgame" which is supposed to last 5 years on its own, so the game had to start settling into that role eventually

I hope more competitors will enter the scene. Genshin is the pioneer in the big-budget gacha industry. Basically the Market Leader. Showed how profitable a, should I say, AAA gacha is. It's just a matter of time before Market Challengers like WuWa and the others enters. And so some of them did. I'm both excited and worried for the future tbh.

The best moment for me to fell the joy of the travelling is when I left for a while and then back to it. I think maybe this is the right way to play this game. Maybe, some experiences the managers learned from the old types of games are not going to work anymore.
Every time I tune in to the annual region livestream, I'm nearly brought to tears. The passion is literally bleeding from every possible place, from the set and devs' interactions, to the content of the update itself. Hoyo has created something truly special, and I'm glad to have been a part of the community for nearly its entire lifespan. And especially when we live in a industry where greed and money are king (albeit mostly applies to western game companies), Genshin Impact is a beautiful diamond in the rough, with developers and staff whose determination and care is for the most part unmatched. Additionally, seeing the English VAs is always a welcome treat, it's really nice and memorable that Hoyo makes sure to give them the spotlight, when they do as much work as anyone else in contributing to this amazing experience. I will play Genshin Impact for years to come, never stop doing what you do best Hoyo, no matter what. P.S. WOW I was thinking to myself they should make another world level for the really strong players so the overworld isn't a complete steamroll, it's gotten to the point where I only use 1 or 2 characters lol. Looking forward to it!

I'm so happy that i was made i decision to install this game 4 years ago and being a part of Genshin Impact. This game is not just a game to me, it is an art, it is a life lessons, it is a masterpiece. so many stories of genshin's characters that related to me. and the songs are spectacular! i've been played a lot of games, and genshin impact is one of.... no, its my FAVORITE so far. thankyou somuch
this whole Livestream felt very refreshing. it looks and feels less forced and scripted, there's a bunch of topics discussed and they went into very small details (which i love), *they actually listened to their players and included more fair rewards and a bunch of things that are fun to use while playing the game.* can't wait for Natlan, this Livestream definitely made me so much more excited.

As a kenyan and a swahili speaker, I've never been more proud of this one. I love hearing exotic instruments incorporated into an orchestra similar to sumeru. That is what made sumeru music so good and that is probably going to happen in natlan as well. Its a fresh taste on music that our ears aren't used to and that's what makes it good

The couple playing the panpipes and flutes at 1:38:07 are family friends I’ve known for years. Recently their only son has passed away at the age 14 and I can’t imagine the pain they must be feeling. I’m sure he would’ve been immensely proud that they could spread Peruvian culture through such a famous platform. The Choir and the Orchestral accompanyment is IMMACULATE.
As a former orchestral musician myself, I got goosebumps (especially the first piece) as I listened. I am also impressed at the attention to detail in that they brought a whole host of artists well versed in their cultural-based musical traditions. Astute in selection and culturally respectful in execution, I can say with full confidence that their performance was superb.

I know people have been talking about how "genshin doesnt feel the same anymore" but this? This feels like genshin, this is the most excited ive been to explore a new place in a while, and honestlt despite people complaints about it not being "war ravaged" enough, i think both the scenery and the story teasers we got look fuckinv awesome, i think we could actually get some really cool lore here
One thing i would have liked them to explain is why Natlan has always been, since 1.0, the region we had least info about, we only knew of Natlan through bits and pieces of conversations with NPCs and Archons
ISTG they'll say that for every region. If Genshin changes up the aesthetic they'll complain that it doesn't feel like old Genshin. If Genshin stays the same, they'll complain that the game is stagnating. There's no winning against these haters

Wow, I was a bit bummed out this was 2 hours and thought I wouldn't watch it, but it was actually very fun for a video that's just supposed to introduce a new patch. I've always respected the devs for sharing the news themselves in a video instead of just patch notes and I love how they changed the heavily scripted variant with a more free and lighthearted appraoch here. The version trailer was awesome, I literally screamed when I saw Mavuika fight Il Capitano, I've been waiting for those two for very long. Also the fact that we're already getting an abyss invasion and we're not even in Kheanri'ah's arc yet is very interesting, I'd been wanting to see the abyss in action. Also the concept of the 6 tribes is pretty cool as well and I'm really excited to explore those as well. And of course the new characters and their traversal mechanics are really something, i've been saving up since the first teaser to get them. But even though I'm a lore fanatic and an oldschool player who enjoys character building and endgame dps checks, I'm most excited about the artifact crafting. I've been waiting and whining for this FOR YEARS, everywhere where there's been a mention of it. And after I've spent months trying to farm my Arlecchino and Clorinde's artifacts and getting, i kid you not a single good piece for what 3-4 months now, I can finally rest easy. And although I intended to skip over the music part because the video really is too long, I'm glad I didn't. Genshin's music team is insane and this is just on another level. I rarely go to concerts but if the next genshin concert is somewhere reasonably near, I'd go without a doubt. Fontaine's music was already on another level but the Natlan one is pure kino.

And when I realized how gifted Mihoyo is with creating OSTs I knew I’d fall in love with Natlan’s music. This is the longest and by far of the BEST Special Programs ever in Genshin history!!! I'm just so happy they added so many new QoL updates, the animations are complete fire, the singing and traditional instruments are impeccable. We're literally at the 6th nation, we've come this far. Words can't explain how emotional I am. Thank you for giving me such memorable times, Genshin Impact ❤
Im actually quite speechless with the updates with the pulls and everything expecially with characters but the one that made me really happy was... the orchestra like oh my god it was beautiful i would just play that on loop and not get sick of it. But over all even though i came during late sumeru i would say that genshin has been doing well and im excited to see what the future has in store for them!

Am I the only one who remembers genshin delaying drip marketing &videos the day WuWa released? They're not scared of competition, plus game dev and QOL changes aren't things that can be done as a reaction. It has to be cooking for months to make 100% sure there's no errors. It's been pretty obvious this is the direction hoyo would take since 3.0. With natlan the game is 1 region away from "final endgame" which is supposed to last 5 years on its own, so the game had to start settling into that role eventually

The best moment for me to fell the joy of the travelling is when I left for a while and then back to it. I think maybe this is the right way to play this game. Every time I tune in to the annual region livestream, I'm nearly brought to tears. The passion is literally bleeding from every possible place, from the set and devs' interactions, to the content of the update itself. Hoyo has created something truly special, and I'm glad to have been a part of the community for nearly its entire lifespan. And especially when we live in a industry where greed and money are king (albeit mostly applies to western game companies), Genshin Impact is a beautiful diamond in the rough, with developers and staff whose determination and care is for the most part unmatched. Additionally, seeing the English VAs is always a welcome treat, it's really nice and memorable that Hoyo makes sure to give them the spotlight, when they do as much work as anyone else in contributing to this amazing experience.
I will play Genshin Impact for years to come, never stop doing what you do best Hoyo, no matter what.
P.S. WOW I was thinking to myself they should make another world level for the really strong players so the overworld isn't a complete steamroll, it's gotten to the point where I only use 1 or 2 characters lol. Looking forward to it!

This game is not just a game to me, it is an art, it is a life lessons, it is a masterpiece. so many stories of genshin's characters that related to me. and the songs are spectacular! i've been played a lot of games, and genshin impact is one of.... no, its my FAVORITE so far. thankyou somuch

it looks and feels less forced and scripted, there's a bunch of topics discussed and they went into very small details (which i love), *they actually listened to their players and included more fair rewards and a bunch of things that are fun to use while playing the game.*
