Leif Davis would be an interesting deep dive. Only Saka and Palmer have created more big chances than Davis who is a left back for the team with the least talent in the premier league! Davis also got 14 assists in league 1, and 18 assists in the championship in the past 2 years from Left back!
Find the end a touch crimge as this was my first video of this channel, idk of its new or what. But seems good. I'm not a stats guy, do a touch nice to just hear them & what they imply, because I'm not reading them, no time between actual watching games, of multiple sports, who tf you think i am
Would love to see a deep dive on gravenberch!!! i feel like the basic “he’s the new kroos!” take is the only thing i’ve heard. keep up the great work guys!!!
This is such an awesome podcast, thank you! Would you mind touching on Azzedine Ounahi? I know he’s already 25 and playing in Greece, but when I was playing around with statsbomb data in R to try to teach myself how to do it, he seemed to pop in my analysis. If you look at his fbref, his passing/carry numbers look pretty good…but his defense doesn’t look great. But when you look at his World Cup data (in statsbomb) things like pressures/interceptions/ blocks etc. look to be in the top percentile of the cup. (Keeping in mind these are mostly counting stats in a tournament that not everyone plays the same amount of games). It seems to me, his defensive numbers in Greece vs the World Cup might be a product of a difference in what he’s being asked to do/role? Maybe not? He seems like maybe a possible answer for someone looking at deep lying midfielders ( I’m not saying Man City or anything). I just wonder what your take is? Can the Greek league even translate to any of the top leagues? Anyway, thank you!
Would love to see more bundersliga content, how clubs are dealing with injuries, clubs over/underperforming anything like that! Keep up the great content ❤
And of course Saka is doing all that while being extremely diligent and disciplined out of possession. It's not normal for any attacking player as gifted as he is, never mind at the age of only 23. Not a very insightful comment but I thought I'd just help the algorithm along.
Garry Monk was sacked by Birmingham a few years ago for trying to get youth players to sign with his agent so he would get a cut. He only got 'caught' because it nearly pushed Jude Bellingham out of the club as a 15 year old, and the club chose Bellingham over Monk. A good choice, in retrospect!
I understand why you don't but think the 115 charges have to be considered when thinking about citys success. Chelseas spending has made their previous look not as bad but they spent like a billion net from takeover to 2019 or 2020 their financial doping was insane. Would've been embarrassing to have not got at least 4/5 from this side.
We're not the cops. That's some other podcast. And at various points pre-FFP, there have been massive spending binges compared to the rest of the league from a variety of teams.
@@TransferFlowPodcast those teams didnt cook the books lmao. posh Londoner making excuses for financial doping who wouldve thought lol. apple doesnt fall far from the money laundering capital of the world tree
PvS has been one of my favorite football hosts/journalists for almost a decade now and I didn‘t hesitate for one second after first hearing about the transfer flow podcast! Keep up the good work you guys and I‘ll be recommending your show to my friends in the meantime! P.S. have you thought about new and slightly more appealing thumbnail designs before? It might be worth the effort :)
English media and fans have completely misprofiled Foden as a player. He’s also for the most part been a bit-part player in City’s success over the years. The medals and hype has elevated his ability beyond what’s real. Doesn’t operate well in non-functioning teams (City and England). A great season last year, but that doesn’t make someone a top player. Consistency, thriving in any situation and a well-rounded game does.
Boubacar Kamara coming back is huge for Villa. Also the 5 game run in the league included Spurs away, Liverpool away and Chelsea away. Lets see how they settle down. Mings coming back could actually help the defence too. Not having a physically dominant cb has hurt since he's been injured.
Foden has been bad since the euros. Is he player that will grab the game and win it for you? Maybe he is a player that only thrives when the team is on form/ clicking
Thank you for including the article link!
Not the article we all wanted though

Elite production
The end is cracking me up. Love the pod fellas.
Petition for Ted to consult for Wrexham 🤞
I still quietly do some consulting when asked. I'm not cheap, but I am good! Contract will include 1 photo with Ryan Reynolds though!

Kai Havertz!!!
Good video. Love ur analysis
Pat is the Christopher Hitchens of football
I’m gonna need a copy of that magazine ted, just to check she is right for you 😂
Saka is up there, but no he's not the best player in the league yet. Salah for one is better
for sure, scary the level saka is at being 23 tho, could be a legitimate ballon dor contender from here on out if arsenal win some big trophies
need me story time 😂
Imagine thinking saka is better than salah😂😂😂
love the B roll addition lmaooo

its definitely Salah but Saka is good too

Monk is at Cambridge and you can see what the stress has done to him
So essentially, Ted got a tit pic and reacted the way every other man would. Class. Happy for unc. Go get em tiger.
was not expecting that at the end 🤣🤣
