Once successful training is complete and one is confident with their skills and they're ready to move forward, there are two important steps to take in addition to the other stuff listed. Most important thing to do is to register your business with your state and local authorities (obtain business license). The second most important thing to do is secure business and/or personal liability insurance. This is of the utmost importance when you have direct hands on contact with clients, and in this case where you will be applying various solutions and/or chemicals to the skin.

I'm also a licensed cosmetologist in California but not really wanting to get back into that business...it's too rough on the arms and hands. I may be contacting you in the very near future! I wish I would have watched this before I signed up for my training. I’ve been doing an online course and the entire first day was them trying to hard sell me to become an affiliate. And they have a nice product line, but that is such a TURN OFF.

So you need LLC I was going to use Elite insurance but was unaware if I need a EIN also in Tx
