    You may not be able to tell now that everybody's on the bandwagon, but Mason has had, and always will have, a lot of fans in Pittsburgh. With the way he has persevered through everything, and the talent he has, a lot of us have been calling for him for years and I haven't rooted for a player or enjoyed watching football this much in a long time.

    Americans love an underdog story. Great video reminding us that Mason has always been there, but never truly promoted by the head office crowd. Perhaps someone does not like him, or someone tried to block his success. idk What I can clearly see is that the team supports him and plays for him. You can always tell if a correct QB is on the field ... the team, both offense and defense, will let you know.

    Good vids sir. As a Mason fan, who even called for Ben to retire a few years before cause of that 2020 year. I believed in Mason. I think we should look at Pittsburgh’s history with developing QB. Wish you could make a vid on that, being outside a Number 1 pick, Steelers haven’t had any real success at QB development. They only have had all Defensive HC with no Gurus for the offense for any extensive time. No system of QB like Green Bay or San Francisco. The fact that Steelers most successful QB were all high draft picks says something. Fact that Pickett wasn’t considered by most scouts as a legit 1st round pick. Fact that Rudolph did get a 1st round grade by the Steelers but went lower due to a tougher QB class. Scouts did see him as a QB1. Hopefully these performances keeps him there

    I have experience in head injuries. Rudolph actually did really well standing in the pocket his rookie year until his head injury. He came back WAY too soon. I could see it. Then his 2nd time back, still a rookie, hebwent 30-50 250yd 1td. 50x they asked him to throw. I think Tomlin just didn't like him. If they make the playoffs, they could end up beating bal in the 2nd rd to get to the afc title game. It's really wide open if they get in with Rudolphs raiting over 100. They need Roberts and minka if they want to make a run though

      There are many of us who've had this young man's back since draft day. Some of us watch out team sober and clearly see talent, the real weaknesses and Rudolph was never the issue. This man could have gone in the first instead of Mayfield, who hasn't been great but has been given a lot of opportunities to grow and lead teams. Maybe had Rudopllh been given that same chance people wouldn't just now be seeing his talent.
      Rudolph was always the best QB to take over the team, Tomlin is the issue.

    • @rio6524
      @rio6524 4 месяца назад +1

      @@hitwarriors8040 I agree. I was definitely willing to give Kenny a shot but I think the problem is people wanted Rudolph to be Ben and that was never going to happen. Between Fichtner, COVID, Canada and yes, Tomlin, Rudolph never got a fair shot nor was the line any good. Everyone wants a Mahomes but on average QB takes at least 3-5 years to really come into his own. Personally, I wanted us to get the OC from the Lions and make him our new HC but mostly everyone is ok with tomlin barely scraping by every year. Those same fans have the nerve to call people like us fake Steelers fans. Like no brother, we want to win playoff games and another Super Bowl mediocrity is not the REAL steeler standard.

    I think Kenny's biggest issue is his confidence. He's not taking chances with high-risk passes down the field like Mason is. I am hesitant to say Mason is the solution, I still believe that Kenny is our long term QB but I do REALLY like the fact that there is a fight on between those two. I think that's going to be a catalyst in the success of failure of Kenny and frankly I'd like to see how far up his potential can reach, and I think this is a great way to expose that. However, I'm open to the idea that Mason has put in the work, he's very humble, he's taking chances and they're paying off. But if he starts getting picked or chases around the pocket or something and he starts to crack, we're back at Kenny. Mitch keep on filling those water bottles my friend.

  • @johns363
    @johns363 4 месяца назад +2

    IMHO. Some other team will offer him more money and Mason will show the same loyalty that's been shown to him and leave ,unfortunately.
    Tomlin's handling of QB's in the last 5 years has been atrocious. It seems like he thinks he can rehab 1st rd picks that have not performed to their expectations like Haskins , Trubisky and now Pickett. Dobbs and Rudolph played better in games than Kenny from what I've seen.

  • @Krazymarmo
    @Krazymarmo 4 месяца назад

    A general comment about the NFL, and perhaps most sport in general, is the absolutely miniscule memory and allegiance people have to players if they don't perform. Like who was into Mason a few weeks ago? No one really. He plays a few good games and everyone is like "Kenny's got to GO!" and Mason is now a hero. It's ridiculous. As 5 Star says the Duck had a few exciting games and then fell completely flat and his popularity tracked 1-to-1 with his performance. Is anyone thinking over a period of say, a season, about a player's prospects? Or is it who do I like this week? At this very moment? Considering what it takes to have a good game go bad, a simple inch or two off on a pass, a misstep into a tackle, an unseen defender or a less than ideal grip on a ball that flies wobbly: you really can't judge performances day to day. You need to see the bigger picture. You have to see the track record. You could easily have a great game against a bad team or a bad game against a great team. Key players out, the sun was in your eyes, I mean it could be anything. Perhaps you get lucky with a long pass that beats a defender and goes for 6. But the next day that same pass is a few inches short, intercepted and run back for a pick-6. The moral: Kenny is still more or less a rookie, don't just give up on him so easily. Mason too, he had a few good games, can we expect him to play at this level going forward? I have no idea. He could absolutely crumble to the Bills or he could throw some stunners. Let's support BOTH Kenny and Mason. They're teammates. I know they occupy the same position, but I'm not sure if you notice that QBs get injured and we need BOTH. They are gonna fight it out between themselves and I think that's for the best. But let's stop hating on Kenny this week and Mason the other. It's a tough job, with all eyes on you quite literally. The negativity isn't required. You can be critical sure, but leave the hate at the door.

  • @PYEGUY

    People want Mason to take us to the SB if he can then, 2024 kick him to the curb, hand the team over to Kenny Pickett no questions asked. It doesn't make sense!

  • @gfuller10
    @gfuller10 4 месяца назад

    Mason is our best gun slinger, he just has to be able to see the sack or feel it, that's his biggest issue, he hasn't turned the ball over which is great he got that from Pickett, but like I said Mason is a gun slinger, the adversity to get back to Qb1 is a great story. He always had to want it. Mitch wasn't gonna last, Kenny was gonna get hurt. It was really always Mason team he stayed humble and I notice he always gives God the glory. If it wasn't for the adversity idk sometimes we can forget to give God the glory.
