I’d also like to add for anyone in the area who might be reading this. These ladies can do the same exact blow outs that the higher end salons can do. And they do so without insane pricing or rushing you out so they can get to someone else.
So they just scam people with the Chinese ear cleaning scam ... what, as a side hustle? Never let anyone put anything inside your ear who isn't a medical practitioner. Also google scams in the area you're in before falling for these.
@@dr.lexwinter8604 your comment is ignorant. It's common for Asians to have their ears cleaned. Most of us have fond memories of lying in our mother's lap and her cleaning it for us. They usually just clean the outer part not too deep to prevent accidental perforation of the tympanic membrane.
@@romaniagoh8146 exactly! I'm Kashmiri and I have so many fond and conforting memories of my mum cleanig my ears. I Introd my hubby into this (he isnt Asian) and he finds it so soothing. I never go deep inside though. I use ear drops for that. Think people are so judgy man

I wonder if it hurts at all ? (I’m not a wimp, lol. I just don’t have a huge tolerance for pain) I have problems with ear wax build-up - and I wouldn’t be surprised if it could be borderline ear wax compaction. But I hope to try this someday.

cleaning my ears is one of my extremely addictive pleasures. I even have a camera to see inside my ear canal. I’ve cleaned my ears every day my whole life and there is not a single spec of wax in there. I don’t care if it’s bad for me or not. It feels too good to stop!!

Nope, I’ll stick to my ENT doc. He sprays a tiny bit of lidocaine, waits a bit, then uses a vacuum. Painless. My primary doctor cleaned my ears with scrapers and it was so painful she’s not allowed in my ears again!

I’m so confused to how a medical procedure is being done in a non sterile field not counting the liability factors of infection or possible damage to one’s eardrums.. 😮this video left me with so many questions……

CAUTIONARY STORY OF WHY YOU SHOULD NEVER GET THIS OR THESE TYPES OF SERVICES DONE. I've lived in NY my entire life. I'd heard about this type of ear cleaning & there was a salon in walking distance. So because I could barely hear from wax build up & my ENT couldn't see me for 2 weeks, I went to the salon because I was inpatient. The left ear went ok. There were def moments of some pain, but nothing to cry about. My right ear was a different story. It was very painful, I had to keep taking breaks. The lady got enough out where I could hear a little out of that ear. I told her I was ok to stop at that point. She tells me, no, no, no there's more, just 2 more mins. Not even 30 seconds later I had the sharpest pain I've ever had in my ear and I feel fluid running out. She poked my ear drum, it wasn't fluid, it was blood running out. I had to go to the ER. I explained everything & the doc looked at me, shaking his head in a no position. He said if you only knew how many ear drum perforations & ear infections from ppl that started with I went to get my ears cleaned by an ear digger in a salon, you would be horrified. There's a reason ENT's & even primary care docs go to school so long & all you need to work at a salon is a certificate. I caution ppl to stay away from these salons. They don't even have the right instruments to see down into the ear. None of that dawned on me until I was crying in agony on that ER bed. The hospital gave me antibiotics & a steroid to help w the inflammation as well as a pain killer. When I seen my ENT 2 weeks later, the hole in my drum was still there & I had to have surgery so they could graph my ear drum closed. One of the WORST THINGS I EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH. Not only did this happen to me, but according to the ER doc & my ENT many, many ppl suffer from pain ful bacterial ear infections & they see their share of drum perforations. So plz see a doc, even if you have to wait 2 weeks. Best wishes to everyone

I’m amazed by the amount of wax removed from 1 ear and can see by your facial expressions exactly how good it feels. I MUST experience this procedure soon to examine my ears and evacuate years of built up wax deposits!

Your ears are supposed to clean itself out. You shouldn't have to clean them. In fact, it's the use of q-tips that causes build up, since it pushes the wax into the walls of the ear canal and sticks it there.

I think Jason is one of the most kindest persons.
Never let anybody pick or pry inside of your ear drum. They could ruin your hearing permanently damage some thing. The eardrum is very delicate and complex.
I was always told that ears were self cleaning, if that fails good old warm olive oil works every time. That looked far too painful and dangerous .

I do this at home but without the tools, lay on your side, warm saline in the ear. 5 minutes, and then use a large basting syringe or ear cleaning syringe to flood the ear with a large amount of fresh saline. The pressure literally powerwashes the inside of your ear. It kind of sounds like when you jump into a pool. It gets SO much out all at once.
They were so happy to see you, they must’ve had lots of business because of you!

Jason, I had an appointment with audiology today and they scolded me very well about getting my ears picked with instruments that I don’t even know if they’ve been sanitized. In my head, I turned into Ethan so quickly! “Yeah. Whatever. Jason knows everything! Long story short, no infection. My eczema was having a field day on my ear canals for the first time ever. Now I can’t help but wonder how May or any other professional ear pickers handle these issues🧐

I once read an article about this ancient Chinese technique: they use bamboo sticks and one has a hook (like a knitting needle), to remove the wax.

You represent the vast majority of decent Americans. I have frequented such "ear digging" whenever I visit my hometown in Malaysia and can tell your viewers that is is not something for the fainthearted; I winced each time she went deep into your ears. Some customers are so used to their regular ladies (near exclusively so) that they can fall asleep... something I can never do myself nor recommend! Keep up with your good work in fostering better relation between nations.

I'm a big fan of ear-cleaning,it just feel so so so good and so so so relaxing.Everytime I'm let people do my ear-picking,I always hope that there's one huge piece of ear wax in it to pick out.Because it might look like a bit painful,but I just want to know how does it feels.

The technique of ear cleaning is very interesting. It might feel satisfying. But there are some things to keep in mind. I think trying it if your ears feel clogged or something is ok. As long as the person knows what they are doing.
It is recommended to have wax removal done if the wax is causing an issue. Not leisurely. The wax is there to lubricant and to help fight bacteria.
true, that wax is actually a protection solid-liquid chemical that prevents any foreign objects to go inside. By the way the human body has few organs that produce various liquids helping body to function well.

One time my ears were both itchy and it was driving me insane! I didn't have any qtips, so I grabbed my book of matched pulled one stick out an use the end of it not the match part, and bent it a little and scratched my ears softly and gently! And it felt goooood!

You are so genuine Jason, I would never doubt any of your content. I am a major germaphobe and worked in a hair salon for over 25 years of my life. I owned one for over 8 years of that time and know too much about sanitization to be able to do that, but more power to you I say! @@mrst159 I've had a personal experience with one of those bulbs and can tell you they get hot enough to heat food! I had one close to my skin for just a few minutes and my skin felt like it was on fire. I don't know how anyone could take having it on their face for that long.

What amazes me is that she does it left handed and right handed!
I've had it done. If you have a baby that has ear infections often consider getting the ears candle. I know of a baby who cried alot, especially after eating. She was breast feed. Nothing helped. Until they let someone candle her ears. You would not believe what came out of the baby ears. She went to sleep during the 2nd ear and slept for hours. She normally would wake up after 2 hours screaming. They took the candles to the doctor and the poor baby had fluid in both ears that was from the woub. The doctor wanted it done again in a week to make sure all the fluid was gone. It was. It made a difference in this baby.
My Mom used to say we were growing candles in our ears she would do similar to this when we were younger. Once a month we had our ears cleaned.

Wow brother I've never had that kind of wax build up. Maybe it's because I live on the Texas Gulf Coast where it's so hot and humid it just melts and runs out my ears. But I would love to go there and try this treatment.

@@pennygirl99 we didn’t get to go into the city at all this trip. The dates I was there were right around New Year’s and I knew it would be absolute chaos going to NYC so we had a quiet time at their home.

Looks awesome and I'd like to try it but I don't think its sanitary cleaning the inside of your ear, I'm sure there's micro scrapes, and then putting the cotton on a light bulb that has dust on it, and then putting that in your ear. Unless that bulb is sanitized beforehand they are missing a step

Jason, during the procedure you looked like you were going to either vomit or cry. It looked incredibly painful. I’m very glad that she was so thorough and expelled a lot of wax from your ears, but I’m not sure if I could take the pain. I’m sure it feels incredible afterwards. She’s seems like a very patient and friendly person. Beautiful smiles from all three women!!

$10 should be in US Dollars.
In Singapore, earwax removal shop are less.
From $30 - $36 at chinese massage shops.
Mostly doctors at Ear Nose Throat (ENT) medical clinics does earwax removal. Can be pricey.
I wish we had salons that had this. i would go every chance i get, i lobe to keep my ears as clean as i can!

You must wear earphones a lot. I find when I wear mine I get more wax produced. I ended up buying an ear camera off of amazon and a cleaning tool set as well. I love these types of videos. It just looks so relaxing ! I wish I was closer to a place like this just to be able to try it
