    The only practical resource I was able to find on the internet that could explain why the derivative of a matrix matrix product AB wrt A is B^T. Thanks very much!

    It seems easy to get mistake when computing these derivatives.

    Last matrix index multiplication should be Ctj not Cjt

      It doesnt matter, its symmetric, so Ctj = Cjt, it doesnt matter in which order you take the derivatives
