During our trip with the Dutch Elvis fanclub It's Elvis Time to Memphis in August 1990, we made this video from Bruno Mars as a 4 year old Elvis impersonator.
He was FOUR years old and he was so confident and comfortable with all these performing things. If I was already born at that time and if I was one of those people who were watching this show live, I'd know he's really gonna be somebody when he's grown.
Why would say this, bruno did have a pretty normal childhood despite the fact he's been performing on stage since he was two years old, and he turned out to be ok and he's such a good well-raised young man.
This is 4 years old Bruno Mars, self confidence and already a superstar, and making people come and see him. And look at him now, global world known singer songwriter and producer who is taking the world by amazement every time. It's amazing how he can have so much confidence then and now it's just evolved to now :) Keep it up Bruno :)
Bruno gives his dad all the credit for his love of Elvis, James Brown and other 1950s performers and music in general. He can blame his dad, though, that he's short because he allowed Bruno to work regularly in shows at such a young age. If he was tall, though, Bruno would have had a totally different personality, for sure.
