In Episode 2 of Earning Our Wings: Becoming a Delta Flight Attendant, the group goes through style consultations, a mock-up aircraft tour and a pilot presentation.
Dear Delta professionals. I am a transportation buff. I spent a little over two years on the Navy carrier USS America out of Norfolk VA. I love local Metro buses and trains. Yes..love them. I'm black and on the ground and watching. Elisabeth Dole was once transportation secretary. Throughout complexities of life.. transportation is my main interest. Be great.. because you all mean so much to the traveling public. Have a wonderful day. Long Beach CA.
Tomorrow I am taking a Delta flight from Dallas to Atlanta to Amsterdam my family flys Delta every time and we have never had a bad experience but we have had some- kinda rude flight attendants. But everything else amazing!! Keep it up!
Beanblues in case of an emergency and the pilots call telling you that you only have a certain amount of time to prepare the cabin you need to keep track of every minute. Watches are crucial and every Flight Attendant you’ll ever see will/ should have one on
This is probably a stupid question, but why not make a flight attendant two year degree school? It would save a lot on weeding out people who you don’t want and people whom you do want! Two months of training is quite fast. Having a two year program would make it so much better for your business!
Almost late early in training? Behavior in training when you are supposed to be on your best behavior is a predictor of what kind of employee you will be.
People improve. That’s what the training is for and this is a job like no other. Although you have to exhibit the best behavior in training, things happen at times and all it matters is that you make it before the door is closed. Although that’s not a behavior you want to have as your life will be miserable as a flight attendant if you are constantly running late, (and will eventually lose your job if you don’t improve) some trainees get better as time passes. However, most airlines simply dismiss you from the training even for a minute late one time, without second chances or opportunities. If you get there even a minute after the training room door was closed; they let you go.
Do they still require business attire for the entirety of training? I’ve seen other Delta training videos and they seem to be in polo shirts with Delta branded warm-up jackets.
s2v8377 I have to agree, unfortunately. Those types of employees are often the ones that think they are more deserving of the positions than other people.
When FAs start training, it's because they've received a CJO--Conditional Job Offer. The company has decided they want you. Your employment with them is now contingent on your ability to pass training. You're accepted, but you still have to learn how to do the job.
I was kinda shocked at the general appearance of the group in episode one....Not really up to the standards of what the public expects for flight attendants?
@@kennethjensen5752 Definitrlh NOT Delta by the looks of this bunch. That big greasy guy looks like he’d be wheezing by the time he got to the buffet table.
Feels like a reality show lol
For me I think Delta is the best airline, so keep doing what your doing Delta!

Waiting on my turn
Are cabin crew members allowed to wear smart watches?
In training? No. On the Line? Yes.
Because Delta “thinks” their the “best”
They’re not
Someone already answered. Not in training but okay once you get released to line
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’ve seen delta cabin crew they don’t look picture prefect lol
Fire the guy without a watch. Employees like that only get worse and you end up never being able to get rid of them!!!

I went thru training with him. He's a great flight attendant actually.
@@thomas8461 does making it to this training session mean that you've been accepted for the position?

Things have changed since the "I'm Cheryl....Fly Me " days! National Airlines
Looks and appearance have gone down the tubes!!!!
Not a real attractive bunch. Just sayin’.
We have normal every day looking people, it's the inside that counts.
They don't hire model types anymore!
