  • The new series “The Terminal List” follows a former Navy SEAL investigating why his entire platoon was ambushed during a covert mission. The thriller is based on a book of the same name written by best-selling author and former Navy SEALs sniper Jack Carr. On Monday, June 27 at 3:00 p.m. ET, actor Chris Pratt and author Jack Carr join The Washington Post’s Dave Jorgenson for a conversation about how they brought the novel to the screen.

I just love the fact that on Rotten Tomatoes, SJW critics hate the show but the audience gives it a 91%. This brings a smile to my face.

I wonder where all that hate was when that God awful Michael B Jordan BS called "Without Remorse" came out on Amazon. Critics need to shove their own political agendas up their own asses.

That's why I like RT. You can tell what the movie is like just by looking at the two scores.
      Both scores high: good movie.
      Both scores low: bad movie.
Critic's score high, people's score low: self-indulgently artistic/elitist/ woke move.
Critic's score low, people's score high: non-woke/fun popcorn movie or a comedy.

Binged all of it in 2 days. Loved it. As an Iraq veteran the weapons handling and the action scenes were very well done. I’ve always been a big fan of military political thrillers. Hope more of Jacks books get picked up. He is the next Tom Clancey.

Chris Pratt: "There's no one I'd rather work with more than Jack."
Jack Carr: nods, thinking, "You get to live another day, Chris."

This series is completely refreshing in a genre that was made great by characters like Jason Bourne etc. I watched each episode wondering if there would be a let down: spoiler alert. There is not one. Great job!

Jacks acting debut was the funniest thing ive ever seen. Books were incredible, show was great.
As it turns out, Pratt and Kitsch CAN act. Love both but never considered them high level at their craft. Best performances of their respective careers

I was definitely Surprised by Taylor's acting for sure! I attributed some of it to maybe some similarities of interests in his real life 🤔 when it came to the boats and beaches ect... Hippinesss 🤷🏼‍♀️.

I watched the entire season over two nights. Four episodes the first night, four the next. In between I was thinking one thing: "I hope they stick the landing." They did. Really excellent TV. Between this and Reacher, it's a sign that Amazon Video is serious about adapting books into great action TV. Looking forward to more of both!

This series (both the show and books) is great! I was really worried about the changes they would make from the book but was extremely happy with the show. They're enough changes that it keeps you invested and surprised and even takes a different kind of twist from the book but still keeps the spirit of the characters and story. Really really excellently done! And all the negative reviews from the "professional" critics just proves how biased and out of touch they are.

It's pretty funny (and telling) that on Rotten Tomatoes, the 'Critic's Score" for the Terminal List is 39% while the public's rating of the series is 95%. What I draw from that is that the series wasn't written to appeal to uptight, left-leaning media critics at mainstream outlets that have a knee-jerk reaction to anything that deviates from their preferred narrative.

I learned over a decade ago just really by happenstance that if the critics hated a movie I'd like it, 75% of the time. When something would come out and be like 🤔 seems interesting ect.. I might like that, I'd look at the Critics score and purposely see it. These days their bias is so evident it's ridiculous! 🙄

Any doubt I had about Jack Carr is completely obliterated by this interview. LOVE all of his books (currently enthralled in book #6!) and could not be more impressed with this guy. Carr’s books are stand along great, but his Mastermind with Pratt and Fuqua takes things to even more extraordinary level. Thank you for your Service and your brilliant Imagination!!!

I just watched the show in one night. I can’t get it out of mind. I know it’s fiction yet there is so much truth in the entire story. I just bought Terminal list book on Amazon after I saw show. The show is powerful and entertaining. I’ve been soaking up as much as I can to learn about the show!

The Good: Well photographed, well acted, great cast (underutilized) , well written realistic dialogue.
The Bad: Simply a dreadful story. I found myself rooting for the tumor by the 3rd episode. The "protagonist" is a man of dread that I could NEVER root for.
I fully understand the days of "good guys and bad guys" are over. Today, we get bad guys and worse guys. This guy takes this concept to new lows, when he even kills his ONLY friend in the end. (He does it "Fredo style" with a gunshot and no actual footage of the shooting.) What a peach.
The author is a SEAL and I understand his desire to spin the "SEALS as Superman" yarn. When this tale of dread was over I felt like a DOLT for watching past episode 3. This gets 2 Stars for Production Values and acting. The story however, is awful.
Similar Films from books Done Far Better: Jack Reacher , First Blood, Death Wish
All this said, I'm happy to see a fellow Vet make it big. He will be a zillionaire and that's good. I don't have to like it, and I don't. The rave reviews from right leaning hosts is a bit perplexing. Pure demonic evil is laced through the entire movie. Even the "flashbacks" of his daughter look like horror scenes. If they were trying to capture the spirit and feel of "Gabe" from "Jacob's Ladder" they fell way short. This will seem mean, but I could not muster a single care about his daughter because I had ZERO care for him or his struggles. SEALS as unstable, homicidal, drug addicts is not a good look.
A buddy suggested I watch it again. I have not returned his text.
