Great tips. My first helpful upgrades are the wheels and tires. I went with 1.55 Boom racing alum wheels and 1.55 rc4wd BFG km2 tires. Keep the good work and keep it coming 👍🤙
Being the knight runner isn’t much of a crawler …i decided to turn mine into a pre runner.. used element rear trailing arms and sway bar … Put a little better motor and geared up for speed….it’s a blast now! It does do ok at crawling as before but a bit taller tires did help. The way it performed reminds me of my losi baja rey! Just not as fast..😅
I picked up the shock mounts; worked out great! I have to say the shocks I got from them were less than impressive. Felt like sand in them 24/7 compared to the stock ones. I rebuilt them with Losi Green Slime and they still felt "gritty" Cant say I was a fan, too bad because they look like King Shocks in the blue on blue
I have Trailrunner, same platform as knightrunner. The reedy program card helped a lot. Factory drag brake setting was too high for trailing, in my opinion. My favorite upgrade so far was the bowhouse steering rack and bell cranks. It got the steering more dialed in. No more bump steer, and a lot less slop. It also helped the ifs flex a little easier with the stiff springs it comes with. I think I paid about $45 for both parts. Definitely worth it for any element ifs truck. 👍👍
@@Jbzy3000 I've never had any issues with my esc in my trailrunner. Had it about a year now, still stock electronics except for the servo. I do have a few rigs I drive, so this one doesn't have too many hard miles on it yet. I really like the sc480x esc. I'll let you know if I ever have any issues with it in the future. Just got a set of jconcepts bounty hunters to try, so I'm sure it will start getting used a lot more now
Looks like they removed it 😮💨. This is the closest thing. www.shapeways.com/product/6BLGZL2VA/kckr1003-knightrunner-erc-skid-plate?optionId=223624495&li=shops
I purchased the 3d print files from www.myminifactory.com and ordered them to be printed. In the description I have where I get my prints from. Now the scale accessories I got from Injora.com. Some items are a little too big for this truck so I would recommend getting the scale parts from RC4WD. store.rc4wd.com/ Hope that helps my friend. 👍🏽

IFS2 should be the number 1 upgrade and number 2 is a 2in1 fusion
Great tips 👍
Already done body lift to fit 1.9" tyres
Now it's time for servo and shocks with metal mounts.
Thanks for sharing
You're very welcome 🙏🏽
Good information without taking up a lot of time. Excellent job.
Thank you.

@@therctrails sorry I don’t have a video at this time! I’ve only had time to run it once since completing it! I’ll try and get one soon
@@therctrails I believe there are RUclips videos describing the conversion …

With time, my shocks got smoother. Hopefully, yours do too.

Did you have any issues with car not responding. My car has twice needed the battery unhooked and reconnected. Some say it’s the esc itself.
@@Jbzy3000 I started to get that issue just recently.

were did you get the TRD skid plate?
Here is the link. It is made by knight customs. www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-kcut031-utron-trd-skid-for-ifs2-312034
Which exact servo did you use? When I go to the link, there are so many different options. 35kg but 360°? 180°?
I chose 360 so I can adjust how much of a steering angle I wanted.
Thank you! Could you also send the link for that skid plate? Can’t seem to find that one. Thanks again.

Fun fact for ESC programming card ..surpass hobby one is cheaper and works exactly same way as stock reedy one🤟🤟👍👍
Great for future reference. Thanks
Exact what am look for always want tacoma that look like real tacoma what brand was that ?
Element Knightrunner is its name. Carisma has a licensed Tacoma, but there is some give and take between the two.
@@therctrails thank going look into
Did you do the ifs lift?
If not whats the file name for that bumper i cant seem to find it in the overland pack
The bumper is stock, and I used injora shock mounts to give it a small lift with longer shocks.
@@therctrails i meant the skidplate, thats my baddd and 100mm shocks?
Yes 100mm shocks and the skidplate here: www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-kcem1004-ifs-trd-stock-skid-plate-116398
@@therctrails awesome, just got mine over christmas and and doing a mini-me(ish) to my 1:1 taco
Any recommendations on shocks?

Bro, where did you get that interior??
Knight_Customs is the interior, and I got the files from my nini factory.
Thanks buddy

ECU? I think you mean ESC.
😆🤣 I always mix it up with real cars lol. Thanks!
