He was lookining for a new melody and started singing with some “Ayayayaye”s. All the staff was like “it gives some Sia’s vibes” and he sent it to her. Sia got the instrumental, went to the studio and sang her “Ayayayayes” the next day. the chorus of “Je te pardonne” by Gims ft Sia (= I forgive you in French) was born. Sia asked for keeping the rights on the song to make her own version for a new album. In 2024, 9 years after, Sia released “I forgive you” :)
