i watched a documentary about Michael Faraday, electric current in a wire will deflect a compass needle.. i was wondering if the volcano also deflects the compass? 🧭 🌋 🤔🤗
Sir Humphrey Davy: I found this cool new metal. I wonder what happens when I mix it with water. The potassium: *Aggressively Reacts* Local Humans: wwwoooooowww
To do it at this scale? Yes, it's probably a little too dangerous for doing in a school. When we filmed this in the theatre, we had to cover the first two rows of chairs with fire blankets. There's also a risk of the volcano itself exploding if there's too much potassium in there. It could potentially be done with a much smaller volcano and after a comprehensive risk assessment has been done by a professional.
Thank you for the Portuguese subtitles. Obrigada!
Quite surprising considering only 3 or 4% of the world's population speak Portuguese 😆🙈
I imagine the lecture theatre would have been less well lit back when Humphy Davy performed his experiment. It probably would have looked cooler.
Holy shit this is amazing. I feel like such a nerd though for watching this by choice and not cuz it's a school assignment 😂 im just a chem geek
It is only through systematic study that we can hope to advance human knowledge. There should be no such thing as "feeling like a nerd".
Nothing wrong with seeking out new knowledge. You should be proud of 'feeling like a nerd'
We can use it for our school project

Could take a macro shot of that volcano for a volcano effect in a movie maybe

Whats up with the tribal music?
The tiny people were a necessary sacrifice to the fire gods.
What was used to form the volcano?
But all jokes with metallic potassium are wery dangerous and more as it remember property if pofassium to produced superoxide, which may be explode!
Annoying background music
Kill the 'dramatic' music, please.
WE HAVE 300K SUBSCRIBERS BECAUSE OF MEEEE
I was gonna say first but then I realised how dumb that was
I need to go it for science gest
