    As a mostly Curse Warlock player this set, I see the new legendary as pretty good. Curses effectively do 2 more damage after you play Ulthok, or they stay in hand and do damage the traditional way. Just have to figure out what card is cut from the deck to fit Ulthok

    • @Emperorhirohito19272
      @Emperorhirohito19272 2 года назад

      They don’t do 2 more damage though. If your curses are on 3 damage, they’re doing 1 less damage. And it obviously gets worse as you go on.

    • @doobalitious
      @doobalitious 2 года назад

      @@Emperorhirohito19272 ok, even better. If the curses stay in hand, then I could heal next turn with Za’qul

      @@doobalitious doing less damage is better? In what world?

    • @doobalitious
      @doobalitious 2 года назад

      @@Emperorhirohito19272 I’ll spell it out. If they play the curse from hand, it’s doing two more immediate damage. If they don’t play the curse from hand, it does more damage and I could potentially Zaqul them for more health the next turn. Starting to make sense?

    • @Emperorhirohito19272
      @Emperorhirohito19272 2 года назад

      @@doobalitious right, so you’re giving them a way out of the full damage amount from the curse at the cost of 0 mana instead of the regular 2 mana. Sure does sound OP….

    Immolate is going to br GREAT in wild. There so many combo decks and control decks . Warlock has a ton of removal for aggro.

    • @lilymercy

      immole is turn 4 pass lose the game because you aren’t playing to win proactively, also a ton of wild decks dump hand in less than 3 turns

    I'm really looking forward to more Murloc Shaman, that's one of my favourite decks to play. It won't be very good sadly due to all the cheap removal but I am still looking forward to it!

      Had my first good Hearthstone run to Diamond, close to Legend running Murlocn Shaman back in the day. Has a special place in my heart still, even though I don’t play Shaman anymore.

    I feel like the deathrattle on Ozumat is more of a red herring, and it might do really well as a top end of say token druid. Comparing this to The Forest's Aid, it of course lacks the twinspell which was a big part of the forest's aid's appeal, but it's 12/23 in stats compared to 10/10, and the deathrattle can act as a bonus.

    • @4ndytrout46

      I think people are sleeping on this in hunter. I've been playing a big beast hunter with Vanndar and devouring swarm. I'm going to try Ozumat in that for sure.

    Jackpot is so clutch in thief rouge. Have gotten so many clutch spells that just win the game now. Mass polymorph just locks out big hunter. Nourish and refreshing spring water just gives you insane tempo😃 makes gnoll super cheap early to, if you have a bad muligan.
    I agree they are not good on its own, but when cast up to 3 times with stash and tess its very good.

  • @EebstertheGreat

    Tidal Revenant might be relevant in Arena, if people still play that mode. It has +2 health over Pit Crocalisk and also gives you armor. And it's still a common, so warriors will be offered it even more often than Pit Croc. Definitely something to watch out for.

    Neptulon is pretty cool, but not only is it really redundant with Onyxia, but it gets ABSOLUTELY destroyed by Onyxia in the unlikely event they encounter each other lol. Onyxia lines up so insanely well against Neptulon, it almost seems like Blizzard is memeing

    • @Wilsbourne
      @Wilsbourne 2 года назад

      Neptulon is worse when played from hand for 10 mana but is way WAY better if you can cheat him out early, without playing him from hand. Which is what I'm sure Blizz is going for. Onyxia is trash if summoned from hand while Neptulon is NUTS. I'm aware there aren't many ways to do that in standard right now but if there are (there will be), Neptulon gains a lot of utility over Onyxia in those scenarios.

    Polymorph: Jellyfish seems crazy in Naga mage

  • @EebstertheGreat
    @EebstertheGreat 2 года назад

    I'm not sure Immolate is really any good against control decks. It might be OK. It has a chance to destroy Kazakusan and stuff, so maybe that's good enough. But if you miss with it, you're basically just paying 4 mana to force your opponent to choose and discard a couple of cards.
    But against combo, that card is absolutely nutty. I feel like Kibler might be underestimating it a bit. Just including that card in a deck could massively increase your win rate against all combo decks, because playing it at all on turns 4-6 will tend to win you the game a significant majority of the time.

    Omg, Dun Baldar Bridge then play Front Lines and you get a Neptulon.

  • @Mabujold
    @Mabujold 2 года назад

    I wonder if you can make a front lines deck where instead of playing big minions you try to play board removal and use it to "mill" the enemy deck from tons of his minions.

  • @roberteriksen6434

    Very gimmicky, but it would have been fun if Neptulons hands only attack minions for him if they are adjacent to his position. So Neptulon attacks a minion to his right, instead his right hand attacks !

      They can be if they have sufficient disruption, but just Mutanus doesn't cut it, outside of decks like Shaman that can use it a bunch of times.

  • @liger04
    @liger04 2 года назад

    Neptulon is weird... by all means, 16 damage to the board is good and having it without sacrificing your minion like with Onyxia is nice but... dividing it in two groups of 8? I guess Neptulon would be great for eating giants but not much else. And his hands don't have any defensive keyword to protect their 2 hp from surviving a turn.
    Also potential wild mode Tuber bait when warrior gets Neptulon off of the relic horn: Neptulon always attacks with ALL hands. 1-mana Neptulon -> Charge the main body -> Faceless the main body is a 64 damage combo for 9 mana split into 4 16-damage increments. Not nearly consistent enough to build a deck, but it might happen by accident and could absolutely drown a big deck in salt if they were hiding behind two fat taunts.

    Neptulon is better for decks that can cheat him out, like Big Paladin

  • @EnsoTB
    @EnsoTB 2 года назад +4

    Neptulon seems really bad… you could get your 16 damage in on the first turn, then the opponent could kill just one hand. Then your your turn, you get windfury again but only one hand to attack with, so it can only then do 12 damage total per turn (including the hand’s own individual attack) 🤔
