I just wanted to say thank you for your wonderful camera skills. You are so good at keeping it steady and focused! I learn so much from your videos!! 💜
I'm in the middle of watching the second season of Blown Away on Netflix. So every time I see the glass pieces I'm thinking...Hey I have an idea how that was made. That show is so inspiring ❤💚💜💙💛
So happy you decided to buy the turquoise jar. It is amazing. I live in Arizona and am partial to that stone. Hope you are able to discern where that turquoise was mined. That may factor into the final bid you receive if it is from a particular region or a mine that is no longer open.
Long leaf pine is Southern US. New, that basket sells for $250, give or take. In that condition, I would think about $75 to $100. I'm glad to see that you are entertaining the higher priced items. You have to have something for everyone.
Hi...Gail from Calgary. Will send you more snow free. Volunteer in a women in need thrift store. You have taught me a lot about many things. We have a reseller that comes in and the other day pointed out a nirotake “ incense vase” he bought it for $6 can. sold it for $200+US. Takecare
I have lived in the mountains for 42 years & have yet to see a Nun skiing in full habit. Can picture it though back in the early days in Europe. I would of purchased her just for the uniqueness factor~ great conversation piece!!! Patty❄☃️⛷💕🇨🇦🍁
I love the glass and sliver bees too. I have made coiled baskets with pine needles, in the style of Native Americans. Even a small piece is a lot of work.
What a fantastic antique store! The moment I saw that shabby floral tole chandelier, I had to control myself from jumping in the car! forget the snow, I live at the beach in South Jersey, and just drive up to Bedford Antiques. They have fabulous treasures, still dreaming of the heavenly tile light! ❤️👏❤️👏
OMG THE SMALL TIGER TRAY!!!. ITS A COASTER.I USED to have a set. Lost them in Katrina. Omg I can't believe u just picked that up.. I want it ...lol.. love ur channel...
Found you through a shout out through Curiousity Incorporated! I "inherited" a hoarder's house in Upstate NY and am still working through the property. She was also a eclectic artist and lamps were a big catagory. Looking forward to binging your channel!
08:38 Mini crock with a train on it? Yes please. (rail nut's daughter speaking) 10:20 the lid is missing from that basket, and it's coiled. No idea whodunnit, but $24 sounds about all its money. (I don't know baskets, but have friends who collect Native ones.) 11:39 I'd grab that bottle and the micro-mosiac bits. Intact, the latter always go for a good bit on line. Attractive perfume bottles go too. I'd have gotten into the jewelry too, but $189 for that blue jar is a good deal.
The turquoise jar with the bird fetish is fantastic & very nice of the owner of item to come down that much. It doesn't hurt to ask on items with higher prices. Congratulations on that piece! I would have a problem letting that go! I also thought the lustreware Japanese tea set with the birds was well priced. Those type of items are hard to find in Canada. I have an eye for the unusual & eclectic items for my own collection & would have purchased the Earring Lady ~ very unusual piece. The stairings & floor into the basement looked challenging! Patty 🤩💕🐦🌻 Alberta Canada 🇨🇦🍁
Nuns do lots of sports. I used to be one. But it would be highly unusual for a nun to ski in her habit, and dangerous too.. Most don't wear habits any longer, but I have seen them playing baseball and vollelyball in their habits.
The bowl with the Maastricht-mark is Dutch - the Dutch city of Maastricht once had several well known pottery firms. The crazing is quite typical for old kitchenware and is an effect caused by usage; in the course of time crazing allowed fat and dirt to enter underneath the glaze. In Dutch the effect is called "beboterd", which translates to "buttered". Some people like the effect because it signals authenticity, others loath it.
@Ann Pommer Never seen it, and by the way (not meant to irritate anyone, but): 't Kan dooien en 't kan vriezen, maar Groningers zien liever dooie Friezen! :-)
It’s much more enjoyable watching your live shopping videos!! I definitely prefer them, I feel like I’m shopping with you & it’s so much fun. The Goodwill videos just are not the same with the voice overlay. Oh....... love that basket and that is a great price too. I have been collecting antique hand woven baskets for over a year now and the lowest price I paid for 1 in good condition was $95.00. The smallest one I purchased is navy blue and brown it’s 6 inches wide so it’s a small bowl and I paid $112.00. Looked at comps on eBay and the value is $140+ in good condition.
Skiing nun! Yeah, loving that. And the glass bees! Omg! And the pig with the eye lashes! Moaning begins? Give me any thing tarted up and happy about it and I'm delirious! Thank you for loving the weird!
Thank you for responding to me regarding your brown hoody. Question for you: would you ever consider offering some kind of 'drawing', that offers either a shopping spree with a handful of winners OR Zoom with winners, where you show what to look for when you shop? I know you do this on your videos, but this could be even more educational. I know, I would love to shop with you, or even just pick your brain more. You are the most educated RUclips host I watch, who has the same taste as I do. Hugs, Nancy
According to a SOLD record from 1st dibs, the silver fly set is German and 20th century, but no maker was noted. I'd have scooped those up in a second. So cool
Maastricht is a city in the south of the Netherlands where quality pottery and china have been produced since 1835. The 'ch' in Maastricht is pronounced as the 'ch' in Loch.
Congratulations on that beautiful turquoise piece. As you would say it "it's stunning and delightful!" Lol. You are upping your game and I love it. But going to Goodwill? You will find the hidden treasures! You always do.
Hi agin.. i notice a lot of the old coffee pots when you made coffee on the stove. Non electric. Before electric pots took over. With todays depending in electric abd when it goes down cant make coffee. But can make it on your grill with the metal old fashion pots. Like can use out camping too. Hard to find those. BE an idea to post sone on your vintage ebay. Just saying. Specially in florida when herricane causes power lines go down. Can last for days no power
That jar covered in turquoise will bring good money. If you can't find any info on it. The girls from the Recycled Life might be able to help out. They sell a ton of turquoise.
Hey jocelyn, I am catholic . But what i have to tell you is I sold A nun head vase and 2 other small nun figurines on ebay about 2 months ago. Some lady was so exited to purchase them . It was funny

Great idea! I didn't realize it was actually real turquoise. I just thought it was fantastic!

I love the "I think I need a basket" comment while picking up the bees.. yes! Always grab a basket! They are awfully fun to fill with treasure!

At 1:30 you missed some marble horse head bookends. If they are both there I think they’re worth like $70

Oh, the Dalmatian! My favorite dog was my Dalmatian from my youth, she was so smart! My only dog who did that smiley face, how I loved that dog. ✌🏼❤️
I think the tiny crocks are Beaumont Brothers Pottery
According to a SOLD record from 1st dibs, the silver fly set is German and 20th century, but no maker was noted. I'd have scooped those up in a second. So cool

Should have picked up the handmade basket. They carry alot of value in my area for sure.

The mini crocks could be used as eggcups🐣 Love the glass bees🐝
The metal and glass bee salt and pepper shakers and the honey pot look like Godinger.
I recently sold one of the crock and plate sets for $15, unmarked, the plate had a sponge painted edge. Nice pick up.
Not to mention the bird on it you could also put a succulent in it. I'm not going to lie.
Just looked up comps on the bees. I'm soooo jealous!!
LOVE the silver and glass 🐝 salt, pepper, & suger 😍
Hey jocelyn, I am catholic . But what i have to tell you is I sold A nun head vase and 2 other small nun figurines on ebay about 2 months ago. Some lady was so exited to purchase them . It was funny
