great advice Dana. the personalities of the colleagues that we work with also makes a big difference, in how tolerable the job is. i'm also creating multiple income streams. i think similarly about work life balance. yes there are indeed more important things than money. it's a bit sad that we have to focus on money so much. i hope you will recharge well

Thank you so much for your kind words ☺️ that is very true, job satisfaction definitely depends on who you are working with. It’s definitely good Not to rely on only one income stream. I agree, it’s sad that we have to focus on money so much, if we didn’t have to I feel like we would all be a lot happier 🥰 Thank you so much, I already feel so much better, what a difference a month makes

I've been thinking this more and more then older I get, I just don't have anywhere near as much value on money as enjoyment / satisfaction in life. Of course they say money doesn't buy happiness but either way I wanna try to strike the balance between personal fulfilment and viable income, I hope we can all find it

So well put, we definitely need money but if we are unhappy every day and getting paid a lot, all that money is worth nothing. Unless it lets us retire super quickly 😂 thank you I hope you can find it too

Dana I appreciate you making this video. I relate so much and I am so exhausted and dont even recognize myself anymore. I’ve become so cynical as well. I feel so trapped but the money and remote work is good so I keep doing it.

I am so glad that you found this video helpful, I wanted to show that there is always hope. I honestly felt so trapped too and work places often want you to feel that way. Honestly for me taking two months out helped me so so much to get a fresh perspective on things. Could you ask for a sabbatical maybe? I think we start to not see a way out but there is always an alternative. It’s great that you can at least work remotely but if you are burnt out maybe you should consider looking for something with less hours or you could stay another year and try and invest your money and somehow get financial freedom (only do this if you don’t feel too burnt out though). I have found that staying made things worse for me, because I went against my own body. Just be aware that you will have difficult days after you decide to quit but I found it 100% worth it

@@DanasDiary. Thank you for your reply. While I am not financially free, I have saved up enough money to give me a runway of 1 year and try to explore what I want to do. But like you mentioned, I am also doing what you did and pushing things every 1-2 months out and seeing if it gets better. I eventually got this role to be remote and then I tried even traveling around to see if it would get better, because who walks away from a 200k fully remote job? It’s not like I am even working crazy hours, it’s quite normal but I just hate the work and forcing myself to do it take every bit of mental and emotional energy that I am just drained by the end of the day. I feel like staying each day will make it worse, I am going to quit in 2-3 weeks time. I actually have a week off next week during the July 4th weekend and to really decide. What I really like is that you found that it is 100% worth quitting and since I am feeling close to where you are, I have to think it will be 100% worth it for me too.

19:50 can you please make a detailed video on investing? And how one can start investing coming out of college?
