Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture. With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

With the world being a complete poopshow, I can always count on 10 minutes of refreshing content from this channel.
I had to look, I thought it was more than 10 minutes long. I guess good vibe content has that effect.
My thoughts exactly
Always a good day when millennial farmer posts!
It’s actually the complete opposite but I still watch
I agree with you exactly perfectly timed for when I get home form school
@@seannconnerroper fax
Yes it is
I love it
You should use the pre-emergent on the rocks . It might prevent them from germinating and growing so big 😂
I was thinking CLR since rocks have calcium, or iron in them. But maybe by now there is a dedicated rock remover you can spray before tillage 🤣
And so it begins...God Bless the American Farmers this year with a safe, bountiful and productive season.
new planter and learning curve and still got 100 acres in that is damn good stay safe this season
I remember the good old days when Zack could get the actor to sweep the shop for him
Ross County, Ohio, late 1950's, John Deere 1938 A, Deere 290 2 row planter, 14 acre field with my late father and 2 sons helping took all day. Bags of seed and 80 pound bags fertilizer.
And so it begins.....stay safe and keep planting.
There will never be a monitor like this ever again. Most amazing monitor ever. Remarkable.
Let's go...planting has begun. 👍👍👍👍
they did a really nice job polishing that truck.
Zach planting Becky great video's always never miss a video and can't wait for next video thank you for sharing and your time was really great
It’s always a good day when I see you post a good boat video about your farming I’ve told many many many people about you and I live in Michigan
Great job👍All the best for planting 2024🚜🌽🌽🌽🌽🌱🌱🌱
You know it's things like that @ 03:58 that makes me want to keep watching, I guess just knowing that I'm not the only jokester out there makes me a happy individual. Thanks for the upload Zach!
And so it starts. Another great season. Thank you for posting.
Be safe and have a great planting season!
Great job Zach.
This is my favorite channel on RUclips
Thank you!!
Zach you are my hero in the way you can multitask, load planter, talk on phone and record.
The lighting package is cool. Nice planter, Clark. I wish you a happy, healthy, and safe season.
Nice of John Deere to catch up to Case for folding and unfolding the planter. Ha… just giving a little grief not meant to be taken super serious there
Thanks for another great video Zach.
It was informative and interesting and enjoyable.
Thanks for showing us the new planter and tractor. I am sure you will show us more on the new tractor and planter as you get acquainted with them.
I see you had a John Deere person helping you that first day which was a good thing to do. Getting used to a new planter is hard enough.
The new lighting system is really good-wow. Really lights up the back of the tractor and the front of the new planter. Wow. Lots of light.
By you feedback on the new planter you are pleased with it and its operation. That is very good. A good start is always a confidence builder. Good going Zach.
Good to see your dad. He likes running the sprayer i do believe. Believe he was in the refrigerator before starting the film. Getting one of those factor meals to start the day.
Thanks for everything Zach and Becky on the editing. You all take care and be safe.
The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
The technology in all that green equipment is truly amazing! Good luck this season!
YES FINALLY SPRING PLANTING. WOOOTS!
Wishing you and your lovely dad much success this year Zach!! May God bless you with His abundance.
It’s because of channels like this I have stopped watching mainstream TV in the UK! This kind of content is real, honest and you feel you know them personally. I never thought I would know and learn so much about farming in our closest alias country. Keep it coming 👍👌🤙
Dad jokes, always gets me. Hello from serbia
Great opening day for you guys, all of your green equipment look awesome and nice and shinny. Hope you have a great year thanks for letting us tag along
Planting corn is way to complicated for me. And we thought that 2 row 3 point hitch planter was big league! 😅
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas, and videos. Great update wishing you and your family the best
9:22 that is pretty awesome.
Pray and hope for a good season for the farm. Always nice to see the cat. Hope the crew / dogs / family and you are doing well. Take care.

Oh happy days!!! We are into another planting season!! Can't wait to have you explain the fertilizer set up for all us city folk.
Nice kit, hope all goes well in 2024
Thanks!
According to John Deere TCM stands for Terrain Compensation Module on their StarFire system. As per the manual it detects and assesses roll (x), pitch. (y) and yaw (z) to ensure true machine ground positioning. Their words. 🚜
Wow. Hope everyone paid attention in school. ❤️
A whole planter's worth of working sensors is a cool thing to see!
Another great video Zach really enjoyed watching you figure that new corn planter out
Good luck this planting season. Hopefully stress free
Nice to see the new planter rig in the fields 👍🎉
May God bless you with a safe and successful season.
And the season has begun! So glad that the storms were not in your area!
Thank you for all your videos
Have a great season
Let there be light ✨️
Absolutely awesome tractor/planter lighting. As a youngin, we stopped farming at night. Just couldn't see enough to be safe.
Always great to see a video from the millennial farmer
Glad you had a had first day of planting 🌽
Millennial farmer you are the best
I just my Scott’s push spreader to put my seed down!
Great to see you getting seeds in the ground!!
Hey Jach, not sure if you will see this or not but this is a good tip. Concerning your leg cramps, instant relief is a drink of tonic water. A couple of mouthfuls of tonic water brings almost instant relief from a leg cramp attack. I got this directly from my doctor. Yes the mix in a gin and tonic! Heck add the gin if you want still works!
Also this tip is from my wife and that is a magnesium tablet. They seem to help me if I think my legs may cramp at night after a busy day with physical exercise.
Wow all that green machinery and the tech in them nowadays 🙀🙀 so it has begun planting returns ❤❤
Glad to see another set of green paint around the farm
And it begins, let’ s go no time to loose.❤️🇨🇦
Have a safe season
I've been looking forward to seeing that
Hyped to see more on the unit, keep on rollin
Amazing equipment
Another awesome video!!!
Can’t wait for the next one.
The “Hardly working”comment was hilarious!!!
TCM stands for -To Call Mom We got dumped on rain last night ruined trying to get started to plant.
I’m a big LED dork, and I noticed all the lights on the tractor and planter before it got dark and immediately that I hope we get to see that thing light up at some point. Very nice man I hope this doesn’t give you fits the way that old shit heap did!
Your probably exited to run the new tractor and planter this year. Hope you have a good painting season, stay safe 👍👍
Insane engineering
It was nice to get started planting. We got about 2/3 of our corn planted before this rain came. We have had 2.4 inches of rain so far since it started. There is rain on the radar coming this way & they are talking rain in a couple of days too. It will be a few days before anybody gets back in the field here.
Great video guys. thank you
I remember the Sterings Wien you was starting up using the old planter… and a LOT of beeping as well. This one seems to make it way better😊
Awesome!! Got the planter working!!!
It should. It is new. The one the shop fell on is gone.
You should do a video talking about crop rotation
John Deere innovation, you can't beat it
Be good to get the old team back in the fields and seeing Jim (not getting) stuck!!!
🇺🇸🤘 Hello from MN 🤘🇺🇸
I hope this planter/fertilizer works better this year!
You can set easy fold, you'll just have to hold down scv 1 and it'll do all the unfold functions automatically. We set it up before it gets sent out.
Awesome video!
Great video Zach!
Really enjoyed the video.💯💯❤❤
turn your rear facing tractor lights off in field mode, gets rid of the glare. now that you have lights on the planter you won't need those to see.
We started planting about 2 1/2 weeks ago here in Central Iowa. Good to see you all getting in the fields. Glad we did before all the storms. We live in Western Iowa but crop land is in Central IA. We dodged some tornadoes last Friday afternoon and evening. It’s something we are used to doing, but these storms were just all around us. We have a good 3 dozen separate friends and family groups that were in the path of the tornadoes from Lincoln NE all the way to Ames IA. Plus family in Southern Iowa in Creston area. Miraculously none of them sustained severe damage. Some trees down, power lines down, some missing shingles and hail damage. But no direct tornado hit. God definitely watched over so many of us. When you are getting texts, video and calls from that many different people for hours cuz of the storm it is so draining. Was in my first tornado at age 12 with my siblings and we were home alone when it hit our farm. This was 1984 so life was different then. But we made it through that and I added a couple other tornadoes to my resume since.
Hi mate, love your videos from the UK,keep them coming
Congrats. Here in east Tx we have corn chin tall already. And it's on schedule to be ready May 25'ish.

It's good to get that first day of planting done
