Good conversation. Glad you touched on the LLC and went to start one. I know I have been trying to explain to my son how you break down cost for operating a vehicle for work and most think its just fuel cost, but you have to remember that truck is not going to last forever and you need to know how much it cost per mile to operate (tires, battery, oil, license, etc). The government is only going to give you .62-.65 cents a mile. It cost more then that when charging a customer.
It is hilarious how that lady said she based her rate on the time she loses with her family. 🤣 she may not be in business for too long with that model. Base your rate on the market and the quality you bring.
I haven’t gotten halfway through the video and I’m already seeing a lot of what not to do to run a fab business. Just another way that AWS hinders the fabrication community.
I really wish they would answer the questions more straight forward instead of beating around it. How do you deal with so many employees “mistakes happen think of all of them as your own” nah dawg that’s not the answer we wanted. Where do you put who, when do you use all 10 instead of just a strong 5, do you let skill go over work ethic or vice versa.
I'm the first African village welder to be recognized by American welding society
