As an old, washed up take-away defenseman who has some issues with the way the game's played nowadays, it's so good to see a hard hitting take-away guy thrive.
Oaks Armorial I always do over head checks as much as I can they are honestly my best move on attack and they hate when I do them because they can’t do anything
Most underrated close defenseman in the country. Glad he was able to stay healthy and got his All American recognition. Dude also has the best handles in the country. Straight magician off the carpet and in transition
His stick skills are off the charts. Only reason he didn't can a few in the back of the net this season is because he can't get out in transition as fast as guys like Brett Kennedy
Never played lacrosse because there’s nowhere to play it around me. Looks fun asl and maybe I have some untapped lacrosse prodigy skills that I’ll never know about
That's a tough call. Mellen could keep up with Spencer's change of direction but couldn't match his physicality. Bomberry would 100% have leverage on Spencer but would probably get burned off the dodge. Chris Fake is probably the best match for Spencer but there are very few defenders who can keep up
I'll never understand why in field you can hit someone without the ball 9ft away on a gb but you can't finish your check on someone who had the ball less than half a second before. The announcer said the guy was defensless when he passed the ball .... probably cause he passed the ball too late. Don't put yourself in that position next time. Also, who tf cares if he takes a hand off his stick as long as he keeps his shoulder and elbow down. The only thing that changes is with two hands on the stick, the attacker gets a little visit from the guys butt-end...
@@bronsenwilkinson8395 He's referring to the title indicating some a lot of significant hits... fucking idiot lmfao. If someone is the "hardest hitter", you would expect more hits.

I'd rather just watch people fight each other without the idiocy of using a stick with a net to pickup a ball and hurl it into another net. Thank god MMA is a thing.
Lacrosse Analytics The game has fundamentally changed. Granted Bomberry has a habit of hitting with one hand on the stick. But several of his hits were solid; he hit center body mass, not up high, and not from behind. But still the flags come out. It isn’t a penalty just because the attackman falls down and says ouch
@@warrenjohanson2402 Couldn't agree more with what you said. I'm a fan of big hits as much as anyone else and nothing bothers me more when a player hits someone clean and still gets called for a penalty. At that point, what's the point in even hitting clean if you're going to get flagged anyway?

@Lacrosse Analytics
I hope we see more dudes throwing overheads and finishing checks.

61 ground balls this season. That is bonkers for a close D guy.
this guy is just out there trying to hurt people but i kind of love it lol
Quinn Garland bro what you talking about he reads everything. He a TANK
1:28 legit thought the announcer said “he gets dicked by tyson bomberry”

Anthony 89 I know lol just got caught off guard for a sec

Brian Walker the cannons?
caught a body when tehoka was pushing transition but they both just soaked it cause there tanks

Infinity Phantom or hockey
lol Someone clearly never played football. He body checks like a hockey player... really doesn't lower his shoulders at all.

He played hockey for years yes
Can we not appreciate the speed of #16 for Syracuse at 1:25

Scott Duff couldn’t agreee more, still looking for the hitting in the video. More of a half assed pushy pushy sport
I've been called on so many penalties playing the exact same way. D1 gets away with murder and I'm jealous. 🤣
Put an arrow on the featured player or something.
I've thought about implementing that, thanks for the feedback!

That genuinely makes me upset :/ you could a lacrosse god and not even know it
that nasty over the head check
No one else sees how they just make a middie push the guy with the ball into bomberry, especially in transition
Yes, in one instance there was certainly a push from behind WITH possession ( 30 sec ) that sent the fast breaker into Bomberry
this is also a drake porter highlight tape
356 i used to love those over the head checks completely catches the middie off guard and makes them look like a clown.
Goch K yeah but you immediately lose position so if it’s a good offensive player who tucks their stick you then look like a clown.
Syracuse goalie the real mvp
Feel like he should’ve been on pat spencer when they played Loyola since he’s bigger and more physical

I'm going to, he really played outstanding this season

I always did that in high school and would get a penalty almost every time lmao
hes dirty wit it

You should make some highlights for Peter Welch this season
I was thinking about showcasing him. I haven't gotten to LSMs yet but when I do I'll definitely check him out, thanks for the suggestion

Jack rowlett or Hugh Crance highlights?
Definitely going to make one for Rowlett and probably one for Crance as well

The National Sport of Canada

Quite a bit of cheapshots / late hits.. it's easy to hit hard when the opponent doesn't think it's coming!
